Love this hood

The hood added so much swag to the kitchen, I really love it. The lights are really bright and the fan is very strong. The installation was way enough to do myself with a little help holding it up to as a couple screws. The only pain was the plastic wrap, like others have said, was a pain to get off. I still would recommend and I would purchase it again, in a heartbeat.

Nice vent hood but there are issues

I really had my hopes high for this vent hood. It looks nice but like many things, looks can be deceiving. Installation was pretty straight forward, but the plastic covering the stainless steel is folded into the joints making it nearly impossible to remove completely, leaving a blue stripe down the side and in most of the joins of the filters. There were dents in the vent pieces as well as scratches from the factory. Very disappointing. It does work perfectly for my application though. I just wish it was better aesthetically. Unfortunately it is typical of things coming from China lately.

I want to love this one

This is a beautiful island unit but, BEWARE, each piece is covered in blue film - which protects the metal - before the parts are assembled. The problem is, the film continues into every seam (which are folded over several times and pressed tight.) The are two long seams from the glass to the ceiling. Every nook and cranny needed to be cleaned. I used razor blades, screw driver tip and knife point to clear out most of the seams above and below the glass, in the vents . . . Anyone who looks twice can see remnants of blue film. I read this in other reviews and chose to ignore the problem. I spent hours before installation picking out bits of blue and eight months later, I'm still finding pieces I need to remove.
