This piece is absolutely gorgeous. The quality of it is so good, I'm very pleased with this design. It was so easy to assemble just a few pieces to put together but it was pretty much in tact. It has so much storage I can't believe this item was gifted. I have so much space for more jewelry and I also like to use it to store makeup supplies. And there's even room to still spare. I'm definitely in love with this piece.

I was shocked when this beauty arrived! Much bigger than I expected, and this piece is very well made. Gorgeous oak finish, 8 lined drawers for jewelry storage, AND push open side door to hang your necklaces. This jewelry armoire has it all It truly is beautiful and compliments any decor. I'm thrilled to fill it!

Pros and Cons

The quality appears to be good for the price. The shipping packaging was well done. The quality of the 4 ornamental pieces at the top could have been better. The biggest problem has been the smell. The unit appears to be off gassing chemicals used in manufacturing, so it should be aired out before using.

The jewelry organizer has lots of spaces. The quality of the drawer movement is not very smooth and there is a spot on one of the drawers, so am hoping to have that drawer replaced.

Very nice piece of furniture

This is a very nice piece of furniture. I was a little concerned after reading some of the other reviews. I picked it up from the store. It was well packaged. There were a couple of dings on the exterior box, resulting in a minor scuff. The only assembly I needed to do was attaching the lid. This unit is well-built and sturdy and matches nicely with my other oak furniture. I like how the exterior necklace hooks are on the unit itself and not the door. Nothing goes swinging off when you open them. Overall pleased with this purchase.

Nice quality

This is a great deal for the price. I was concerned due to the mixed reviews. The box came delivered to our home. It weighed 90 pounds. Although the cardboard had some tears, inside had plenty of foam packing. Unlike the bad reviews on here, we found that this item need very little assembly. The four trim pieces snap in and the top has to be screwed in. The pre-drill holes were off a bit but that is an easy fix. Just line up the top and and put some soap on the screws and put them in - very easy. This matches our expensive mission bedroom set perfectly. I was very surprised to see how much quality is in this piece ( note I am very fussy). All the draws worked fine and it looks just like our expensive furniture. This is a great find. I never write reviews but wanted to do this one after being happy with the product after reading not so good reviews. I would recommend this product.

Very sturdy

I bought this to replace my previous standing armoire that had half the capacity of this one. It's so much more sturdy and spacious and well laid out. The side panels are a little difficult to open, but I think it's easier if you push hard and halfway down the door so it pops out enough to grab it.

The lid came in damaged and have not heard back from them yet.

This armoire was packed well and it arrived in excellent condition. It was easy to unpack. Assembly was easy and the instructions were very clear. The armoire is sturdy and very well made.

Love it but a little disappointed

This is a beautiful chest and we love it, but the drawers don't line up when closed, there is glue puddling in the drawers where the dividers were added, and the lid has a stress crack, right out of the box. The company said to return to WM for exchange, but who knows if the new one will be any better, so just keeping this one and hoping for the best. Love the space to store everything and the finish and hardware are perfect - just wish it was a little more "complete" in terms of being a finely finished piece.

Large enough to hold my treasures

Loved the mission style and color oak which matches my decor. There were a few nicks in the felt in 3 drawers which did not please me, but I am not going to hassle shipping the piece back.

Not too bad for the money

I purchased this for myself. It is okay for me but the quality is a bit poor. I however have looked in stores and seen them much more expensive and the quality wasn`t any better. For my use it will work fine.

Mission Oak Armoire

The quality os very good, the finish is nice. The drawers are lined. All the hinges work well and smoothly.

Pretty but damaged

Item arrived ahead of schedule but one of the top front brackets was broken and one of the drawers had the felt lining damaged. Instructions for what to do for damage was with the item but the fax number listed to use doesn't work. I called Powell customer service and they are going to "check and see if they have that part in stock". Still waiting for a return call. Not over yet, but so far I am not pleased with the product, though no complaints about Hayneedle.
