Buy this table if you like projects

This table is great. The price was outstanding (got it on sale!!). It's not some cheap, flimsy piece that will break right away - it's sturdy and looks amazing. And it's heavier than it looks, so don't try to flip it over yourself once you put the legs on. Yes, the legs are separate, but they're easy to attach. It's the perfect size for my small dining room, and the turned legs look really nice. We're working on sanding, staining, and putting the poly coats on it, but so far so good. Not sure what type of wood it is, but so far the consensus is that it's mahogany (yeah, I we were all surprised by that), too. It is a butcher block looking top (zoom in to see the pattern), but so far that's not affecting how the stain looks. I really can't tell you enough how nice this table looks. It's not done yet or I'd post a picture. If it lets me edit this, I'll come back and add pictures when we're done staining and finishing it.
