Garbage quality

I bought 4 down alternative comforters for my kids’ beds. No, not from Walmart but I will put a review wherever I can. These are overpriced for the quality. All of them were washed according to instructions and they either have loose stitching, MISSING stitching, and/or discoloration. Insane. Crap quality, DO NOT BUY THESE, DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY LIKE I DID.

it’s cotton but not soft

when I opened the package the comforter is very thin. the outer cover is stiff and somewhat “crunchy”! I washed it before I put it on the bed and added lots of fabric softener and cold water as directed. it took a fairly long time to dry fully and was rather wrinkled. I slept with it and no sweating at all. i decided to wash it again adding ample fabric softener and lots of dryer sheets while drying it. still came out pretty wrinkled. I will keep it and just keep washing it until it softens up. I did find it cheaper elsewhere, even less than on macys super sale.

Good warm blanket, color is off though.

So far the blanket is very warm and a comfortable weight. It gets in the low 49's/upper 30's here, but I don't like big poofy down comforters and always feel overheated. I washed it with mild soap first as I don't like putting unwashed linens from a factory on my bed. My only complaint is the color - was supposed to be gray, but it is more of grayish taupe. It totally clashed with my silver gray sheets and I had to buy a light cotton duvet cover to put over it. No crinkling heard so far. Suppose I could've returned it but didn't feel like hassling with trying to find a similar blanket. This is the only cotton-filled cotton-covered blanket I've found out there so far. Overstocks had the best price and was part of my decision.

This is a seriously warm blanket, in spite of not being very thick. I have a dark blue one, so fuzz from other, lighter blankets around it is really obvious, but that's not the fault of the blanket. I've had it for a few years and it's in great condition still, so they're well made. I would definitely get another one of I needed it.

Lightweight and Luxurious

Love this blanket! It's lightweight and doesn't shed like heavier cotton blankets. It's like a plush comforter/blanket that you find in the expensive Las Vegas hotels like the Venetian and Wynn. We liked it so much I bought 3 more for other beds. It's light and luxurious!

Dreamy

The CottonLoft blankets, comforters, pillows, etc, are wonderful! They're warm, well made (very well made, actually) and available in several colors. (Speaking of colors, wheat matches the online photo but sesame doesn't -- it's more like a dark beige.) They're especially good if you're sensitive to synthetic fabrics like polyester. Thank you CottonLoft -- you're the best all-cotton brand from what I've seen. Def the most for the money.

Might be *too* warm for some

Common knowledge: some bodies generate more heat than others. For those (like me) who tend to "run hot", this cotton-filled comforter can insulate *too* well - making one feel overheated. This was my experience during several nights in a bedroom with temperature of about 45°F (outside temp ~35°F), and covered with only a light sheet and this cotton-filled blanket. However, this was an improvement on my experience with down or fiber-filled comforters, which cause me even greater overheating discomfort., ,,, I'm probably in a small minority with this overheating issue (high metabolism?), so I am still inclined to give this product a high rating - as it seems well-made, and does a good job keeping a body warm., ,,,,,,,,,,, Note: intend to experiment further - e.g. laundering and using with no sheet. Will report if anything significant to report.

Great Blanket/Quilt

I would call this more of a quilt than a blanket. Either way, it is a really great addition to my bedding. Not too light but still not too heavy. Is summer here now, and this is just the weight I like, and not hot. We will see how it performs in the winter for warmth. The color is very vivid. I ordered the purple, and it is just as pictured. Very pleased with this purchase! Great buy at this price. Much higher at other retailers.

Blanket

Very happy with this blanket. I have another I bought several years ago and it has held up very well. We decided to go to a king bed so needed a larger size. There's blankets are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. I recommend highly.

Twin Size Blankets

I ordered two of the twin size blankets and they were sewn with a different pattern. One is completely block design and the other has block design with a border. You would think ordering two at the same time they would send two of the same stitching pattern.
