I didn't really need this cake carrier. I wanted it because it is a style that I admire and I wanted to have this particular piece. The price was acceptable to me.
It is amazing. I expect that someday my great granddaughter will always bring her favorite cake in this this food container to holidays. It is great quality. An absolute family generational heirloom.

Love the style-the closing clamp however looks terribly tarnished, not bright like the rim of the plate. Disappointing for something at this price point.
