The box is the right size for the tools I carry for work. The plastic is not durable enough to support the tools I put inside. The tray has a hole in the middle that lets everything fall into the bottom and it also keeps falling into the bottom. It would be perfect if my tools were weightless. The weight to volume ratio is too low.

Excellent quality and price. Dependable craftsman. I have been using craftsman for 40 years and the quality is always there. Table saw and miter saw from 1970 still work great.

Toolbox Top This

The toolbox is roomy and handy. I do not like the top compartment design or the fit of the handle

Seems sturdy enough. Loaded it up pretty good. Latches felt secure after closing. Time will tell if they will hold up to repeated use.

Solid Construction

I was always leery about a plastic tool box. But, this one is very durable and does not flex. It's works out good for carrying the tools needed on a job away from home.

I am very happy with toolbox and would buy it again.

The toolbox is large capacity. All my special engine repair tools fit inside instead of cluttering up my roller cabinet. Also, all my tools are together and easy to find. Very sturdy. You won`t find a better storage box anywhere.

Craftsman tool box

Probably the best dollar value in the store. Rugged,space for driver bits.

Good box cheap tray.

While the outer shell seems sturdy enough, the inner tray is quite flimsy and bends easily. Expected more from craftsman.

The top tray keeps dropping down into the box. the box does not hold its shape as it is flimsy plastic. for Craftsman, this is junk.

Great beginner tool box

I think it’s small enough to fit in a shelf but it’s large enough to hold all your items. I like it’s compact, it has a small removable shelf for smaller things

Not to big, not too small.

I liked the size. I had two separate boxes, one for electrical tools and one for plumbing tools but they both became too small due to buying various tools for each over the years. So, I bought two of these tool boxes and they are the perfect size without having to add to my regular roll away tool box. The boxes are sturdy but light weight. Perfect for my needs and portable.

Great Quality, lite tool box

It provided a great option for the larger hand tools I carry in my truck. It is light weight but strong enough to carry the larger, not daily used tools that I need to have on hand. Great quality

Dimensions are deceptive

Height and depth dimensions are both listed as well over 9 inches. Actual interior bottom width measurements is only 6 inches. Bought 2 of them, both are useless for my needs because of the deceptive dimensions listed. I needed 8" of width, width was listed as over 9", actual interior width was 6".

Craftsman would be ashamed

I originally purchased a Craftsman tool box like this approx. 10 years ago and it was well made (sturdy). It has a horrible smell n it that I've never been able to get rid of. I decided to rebuy the same size toolbox sight unseen (I figured I would move the smelly one out to the garage) and use the new one in the house. I have always trusted the craftsman name and have purchased many things over the years and have always been satisfied. People PLEASE PAY ATTENTION to the reviews on this. This is a piece of junk. I would say it has about a third of the material my other Craftsman toolbox has in it. I will not purchase anything else with the Craftsman name without being able to see or touch it. This is a very sad day for me and all past fans of the Craftsman name.

Poor quality

I purchased this tool box because it was a "CRAFTSMAN" and I thought that meant a quality product. The box itself is made of sturdy plastic, however the top tray inside is only supported by two small legs on each side of the box, therefore the tray sags in the middle and eventually falls off the legs. I did not store any heavy tools in the top tray, but I got sick of my tools not being organized when the tray sagged in the middle and all of the small tools spilled into the bottom of the toolbox.

Liked it so much I bought a 2ndtoolbox

Plenty of room for my tools, easy to open and close. Like the storage areas on the lid.

Pretty good except for the compartment lids

Like the tool box but top compartment lids are cheap and easily broke. If they fixed this it would be a great toolbox. I bought this because all other plastic tool boxes have those cheap breakable plastic latches keeping it closed. This one has metal latches and the box is sturdy. Also if you load up the lid compartments and have no weight in the box then opening the box will tip it over. Other than that works fine.

Great small tool box

just what I was looking for a simple tool box. Sturdy, clasps work great. I love the small "things" compartments on lid, the snap closure holds perfectly

Close to traditional toolbox design

My Dad bought me a Craftsman toolbox in the 1970's. It lasted me until the early 2000's...that's when it was stolen...tools and all. This new Craftsman toolbox reminds me of my 1970's era toolbox. It has a few more bells + whistles, but it is true to the original design. Is it durable? Ask me again in 30 years.
