[Rewarded Review] Humidifier

What a great product. Works perfect to my needs. Use it every. Cold mist in summer. Warm mist in winter nice. Also the spot where u can put essential oils to make it smell good or even have a relaxing sense is a perfect touch. I been recommending this to all friend and family if they looking for a humidifier. The light feature is cool as a night light for the room

[Rewarded Review] Does not work

Unit does not work. It does not create most. Crane customer service has been quite difficult requiring multi step cleaning processes to prove the brand new unit doesn’t work. They will not refund and will only replace. I am awaiting their next email for instructions on how to provide additional photographs to make the warranty claim. Probably should just try to return it to Pennys but thought I’d try to do the right thing and follow the “if it doesn’t work call us -don’t return it” instructions.

[Rewarded Review] Product stopped working after a few months

This product had issues from the start. I've had water pour out of the bottom and all over my carpet after leaving it on for a few hours. I've had random EF error messages.

DONT BUY (unless have the time to return it )

As MANY reviews on here say i also have a problem where the machine constantly drips water from the removable tank into the rest of the machine ( Displays a red light and stops working). IDK if just 1/3 products dont work or not, after reading reviews of people returning it only to get another bad product, I dont want to return it and hope a replacement works,if i can just get a different, cheaper brand (that actually works)

Looked Good, but wasn't!

I bought this item after reading the srticle on it and its benefits, price was reduced, sounded right for me. Received it, set it up, plugged it in and awesome. Worked great for 4 days, then stopped. Could not restart. It has so many "gadgets" as extras on it and I'm not one for them, but what I think happened is a sensor broke and that sent the whole machine down. I ordered another one, the same kind, received that one, and another break down. I sent both back to get a refund. I hope they find the cause of 2 machines with same problem. I liked it when it was working. Would buy again if in good working condition.

SORRY- NOT FOR ME -RETURNING

The product I purchased new unused, I am return it because it does NOT humidify the small 400-500 ft square room, the product humidity sensor does not match information reading (pair up) with the same information of separate room humidity sensor hygrometer. The crane humidifier takes more than twelve hours to humidify three degrees- it takes an eternity to humidify. Crane humidifier has nice sensors on the front plate of the device - lots of bells and whistles but not practical for humidifying an under 400- 500 square dry room in the northern east cold winter.

Been looking for a humidifier without having to buy filters. This has a filter but it is some kind of stone-like material in a slitted, screw-in container in the tank. Cleaning it is easy.

Set it up according to the instructions and immediately got a warning light and the unit would not function. This warning light was not even mentioned in the instruction manual. I had to Google it online, and when I finally found information on it, there was a list of “possible causes” with “suggested solutions”. I tried a couple of these solutions, but still couldn’t find the cause of the problem, nor clear the issue. I returned it for a refund and will purchase a humidifier from a different company. There is no excuse for not even showing that this warning light exists, and not explaining its function and solutions. I had the unit for one day before returning and never got it to work.

It Works

Everything about the machine seems to work fine; the front LED controls looks very nice but more importantly, the "steam or moisture" coming out of the system as intended works beautifully. I actually enjoy watching the vapor coming out of the system. The fact that it's very quite, has LED and touch panel and don't forget the remote makes this device worth considering.

Feature packed and absolutely the quietest humidifier I have ever experienced. Instantly slept better with the little boost of humidity during these dry winter months. I love that you can turn off the display when you don’t need it so your room is not illuminated all night long. The reservoir is easy to fill and lasts at least a full day. The automatic mode meant the windows didn’t fog up because it adjusted the flow to my needs. Just bought another one for my mom and she loves it, too!

Maybe we’re not using this properly because it seems well built and certainly sends out a strong mist.

Don't be fooled!

We bought this humidifier last winter and at first LOVED it. It has many settings that are great (once you figure out what all of them do). It's nice to be able to switch between warm and cool mist. It was used 3-4 days a week for about 3 months, then cleaned, emptied and put back in the box until this winter. It's been used about 5 times and is now leaking uncontrollably from the bottom of the humidifier. It has ruined the stand it was on - and even after being turned off, continued to leak. From what I can tell, it's leaking from the bottom seam...which is extremely weird and very frustrating. It's definitely not worth the money to only work for half of ONE winter. So disappointing.

safety hazard / stopped working

I purchased this item at my local home depot and used it fairly regularly for about a month. it worked pretty well. after a month, it started turning off and showing the "add water" indicator light (this indicator is nowhere in the instructions btw). Eventually it wouldn't work at all. even with water in it, it wouldn't turn on and had the add water /empty indicator. so I took everything apart for a thorough cleaning as instructed with vinegar, and let it dry for a day. I set it back up and started it and it appeared to work... except when I turned it off, the "power off" red light showed, but it still produced mist. strange, but ran it for an evening and all was good. turned it off for the night (it did turn off) and went to bed. in the morning, even though it was off, it was humming. I touched it and it was super hot and there was steam inside the device. I immediately unplugged it, dumped out the water, and packaged it up for return. this item is a safety hazard.

Major design flaw causes malfunction and leaks.

Is great, when it doesn't leak. I ordered one, and it started leaking out of the bottom, AND out of the pedestal base. I returned it for a second one, and the display started to flicker and no longer be controlled... and when I emptied all the water out, there was water in the base of this replacement one as well. I have now ordered a THIRD one, but before I use it, I am going to contact the actual manufacturer and find out what the DIY hack is for their faulty design. CLEARLY, condensation that forms on the lid then drips down and enters the unit housing, getting into the electronic display, and ultimately filling up the base with water. Maybe a little silicone ring would stop that from happening? Not sure, but the manufacturer should know about this design issue. I would expect the humidifier to last longer than a few fills over the course of two weeks... Bad design somewhere in there. lol

Powerful Humidifier with Lots of Features

This humidifier has a lot of features, and all can be controlled with a remote. The most valuable features for me were the ability to set a humidity level that the machine keeps the room maintained at, the ability to switch from warm to cool mist, and that you can turn on an ionizer and a UV light (which all help with sanitizing the air in the humidifier). You can also put into “nighttime mode” so lights don’t disturb your sleep.

I've owned the unit for a little over a month. I have never been able to get the humidifier to automatically fill the bottom portion from the reservoir (which it is supposed to do). Every couple of hours I have to go and pull out the reservoir and dump some water into the bottom section. I kick myself that I haven't called Crane to troubleshoot the problem - but, maybe I'll do that tomorrow.....
