I have this rug under my desk, and it functions really well there. It adds a nice splash of color, of course, but it's also thin enough that I have no issue rolling my desk chair. Given its thinness, I wouldn't use this rug somewhere kids/animals/adults (me) might be sitting or laying on it, but it would also be great in a bathroom or as an entry mat, as it won't get in the way of a door, and the kitchen, as it's very easy to vacuum. I did have to keep weight on the edges for longer than usual to make it lay flat, but that's a very minor inconvenience.
