A versatile piece of furniture

I purchased two of these — kept one and gave the other away as a housewarming gift. Due to rough handling by the delivery service, the first bench arrived with three screws missing on one of the hinges and a small tear in one of the seams. So that is why I only gave it four stars. But I added three new screws and stitched the seam and then the bench was fine. The second one arrived in perfect condition and was well received as a gift. The bench is so versatile and offers lots of storage. I use mine at the foot of the bed to hold extra blankets. My in-laws used theirs as a coffee table in the living room by adding a small tray on it. It also works as a foot stool or for extra seating when company comes. The color is gray but it has a blue tone to it, the shade is subtle and the design blends well with many types of decor.

sturdy bench, great storage and true blue

There isn't a lot of padding in this package, so when the box came ripped and damaged, it had damaged the lid of this storage bench. Overstock customer service was amazing and sent me a replacement and I love it! I don't think the photo shows the blue well of this bench, it's subtle, but definitely more blue than the photo shows, which is what I wanted since my other living room chairs are navy. The photos here make it look more grey to me. I used it to store DVDs and board games for the family, and it's a great window bench/extra seating for family movie nights.
