This is a great socket to purchase to update an older lamp. I had an old slide switch that quit working with a cord that had a plug that was not polarized at all. This product solves the problem with getting a proper switch working and having the polarize cord already wired into it before it was shipped. That was a very handy feature to have.

what i ordered came a little late
i got this for a buddy because hit old socket bit the dust. i restrung the whole thing perfectly and it works just fine. i could have mad due with just the socket but i was happy with the product. only bad thing was it was a little late on delivery.
You can do it bc even I did it!
