Surefit sofa cover
I ironed it upon arrival. It looks better than I expected. I used to cover a red sofa bed in morning room. It is everything I expected without the high price.
Decent cover for a bigger chair than I have.
The color is not like the picture. It's an ivory color. I can see the print through the material but it would be workable because the chair color is light. Despite these factors I would've ordered another one for my other chair had it not been so big. That's my fault. My chairs are not as big as typical wingback chairs apparently.
Sturdy chair cover
Slipcover fit my wing back chair very nicely. Fabric was sturdy has lasted for several years now. I would purchase this product again.
Not Great Looking
My wing chairs did measure according to the sizing, but the actual product is very large. The good news and the bad news is that I did wash them in hot water and dried them in a hot dryer and they did not shrink at all. Worst problem is the wrinkling, even on the sections which should be very easy to iron flat. Plan to spend some very serious ironing time with these. If they were going in the front rooms, I would have returned them. They are being used in two bedrooms which are not occupied, so no one sees them and the cat loves them.
Saved chair for price of slipcover
I had a dark green wing chair in my bedroom that has always bothered me, it stood out like a sore thumb you constantly hit against something. The cover is a wee bit tight, thought it fit within the measurements but alas the wings are a bit larger. Still love it because it brings my bedroom decor together.
Have you ever put a big wrinkled bed sheet on a piece of furniture? That's pretty much what this thing looks like. There is just too much fabric. I will be returning it. If you have a really bulky, oversized wing chair with fat arms, then it might work for you.
Long lasting and durable!
I purchased this slipcover quite a few years ago and it’s held up very well! It is easy to take on and off and machine washable! I was worried about it being such a light color but spots come out fairly easy with fabric cleaner. It’s bound to get spots with kids and pets. It’s a very nice quality and I plan on buying another for my new furniture! Highly recommend it!
Beautiful and well made
I ordered these as I was moving 2 wing chairs from my living room to the dining room and wanted to coordinate with the seat coverings of the dining chairs, plus have the durability of duck fabric. Unfortunately, my chairs are rather old with a very deep (over 7") wing and the covers would not fit. Customer service was excellent in assisting in the return. I have purchased from Surefit before and again, despite the product not fitting, I was not disappointed.
I would buy this product again
I bought this to cover up a wing chair that our rescue dogs all but destroyed when they first came to us. Happy to say the dogs are now much calmer, and I've made the chair theirs but I needed a cover solution that a) looked nice and b) could easily be washed. This slipcover is (almost) perfect! I love the way it looks, it washes easily -- although it does require some steaming to get it unwrinkly (not complaining), and it's easy to put on the chair. The only thing that would make it more perfect is more fabric color offerings.
Beautifully made, but it was too big for my wing chair.
The slipcover arrived quickly, and I was so hoping that it would work for me. I have two identical wing chairs, and I definitely would have ordered another. Unfortunately, it was too large, and I had to return it. The fabric is exactly what I wanted, and the workmanship is superb.
Just what I needed
Sturdy fabric, good fit and easy to tuck. I followed the advice of another reviewer and ran the slipcover on low heat 15" cycle in the dryer to soften the fabric and reduce wrinkles. Then I ironed it before fitting it on the chair. It looks great! This was a much more affordable solution for updating a perfectly good wing chair. I bought the natural color and it's just right-with warm cream undertones, not dingy grey/brown like some "natural" colored fabrics.
So yellow!
I ordered the color "Natural," and when I first opened the package, I was shocked to find a pale but saturated buttery yellow cream. I thought maybe I'd gotten one from a bad dye lot, but I had ordered two other covers by the same company in the same color. They arrived the same day, and when I opened them, they were the exact same color! Apparently, this is what SureFit calls "natural." I knew it would be off-white/cream, but I wasn't expecting something sooooo yellow! It looks old and dingy (and not in a cute antique way). I've attached a photo of one of the covers. I put a white throw blanket and a couple of natural/linen items there for color reference. They fit well, and were a good deal, so now I'm trying to decide whether it's more trouble to return them or to soak them in bleach or dye them some other color.
Just Right
I like that it fits loosely enough to accommodate various shapes. I avoided buying a stretch slipcover because it might look like an ill-fitting exercise garment. But this looks rustic, and the ties in back give it a tailored look to balance all the places where you may have to tuck it in. Overall, a win!
Great beginnings!
I love this cover! I was afraid it would be too thin to cover the floral pattern of the chair, but as you can see from the pictures, it is sufficiently opaque. It doesn’t have as much give/material as the heavyweight cover, but it worked perfectly for my purposes. I tailored the cover for my chair. I’m no seamstress - just a few pleats, sewing tape, and a tiny bit of hemming around the arms; and it looks great! I’ve used the chair several days now to work from home, and the fabric hasn’t budged. My seat is attached - if the seat were detached I would tack the fabric to the seat cover. LOVE IT!
I already knew it wouldn't fit, so that is not why I gave 4 stars. I gave 4 stars because the color is not the same as pictured at all. Either that or I was given the wrong color. At any rate, I decided it wasn't worth the hassle to return, so I soaked mine in 2 cups of bleach with about 2 gallons of water, and then neutralized it with baking soda and vinegar, then washed it with an extra rinse cycle a few times. Guess I'll find out if it will fall apart. Ha! I love it now! See pics for before and after color change.
Can I give it a ZERO?
They look fine brand new, pressed and never sar on. Five minutes later they ate twisted & wrinkled. One seam came apart the very first time I put it on. I bought these on black Friday sale but didn't open them until well after the holidays so the return window is likely closed.
Put my condo on the market and for staging purposes. I needed to move my formal upholstered wing back chairs to the den. The slipcovers worked perfectly with the den’s decor. The only drawback was trying to eliminate the wrinkles which even the dry cleaners could not accomplish
I am very pleased with the weight and quality of these slipcovers!! The Natural duck cloth is exactly what I expected—a bright creamy off-white. I covered a dark patterned fabric and you can’t see through the slipcover at all! (The picture shows one before covering and one after) The YouTube video was helpful, but patience is the key to getting the covers on well!! Lining up the seams on the wings and top back of the chair, then creating long pleats to tuck in, is what made the biggest difference in neatness. I pressed out the wrinkles and creases with an iron after putting the covers on (I hadn’t done that before I took the picture). They’ve been on about a week. I’ve been in and out of the chairs many times and the covers stay in place well. Overall I am
I have a much beloved chair and ottoman that was in good shape, but the fabric didn't work in the room where I am now using it. This neutral slipcover was the perfect solution! I bought the matching ottoman cover. Just follow the instructions and it is not at all hard to fit. The wrinkles ironed out nicely on the cotton/steam setting of my iron.
I had a godawful ugly wing chair that I inherited (think early 80s flower pattern everyone had); it was super comfortable, but didn't go with anything and couldn't bear to look at it. This slipcover helped enormously. It fit the chair perfectly (after a bit of poking and tying of things); only negative was that pet hair stuck to it like nobody's business, and was high near impossible to get off. as a result, ended up putting a few throw blankets over the back where the cat liked to lounge.
