Sturdy, easy to use!
First, Walmart delivered this on time and in perfect shape and we are way out in a rural area.
DO NOT BUY!
I'm rating it 1 star because I have to. This toaster is absolutely terrible. Within less than a week of use, the lever stopped staying down properly. Every time I try to use it, I have to make multiple attempts to get it to stay in place, which is incredibly frustrating. Selling a product this defective should honestly be unacceptable.
Does anyone make a great toaster??
This 2-slice toaster is pretty good, but not as good as I had hoped. The toasting is not consistent from one batch to the next. Sometimes it toasts the top of the bread dark golden but the bottom barely colored. I had an old Cuisinart toaster that I used for years then it finally gave out. I tried another brand and it was awful. Back to Cuisinart. Pretty good but certainly not perfect.
Nice toaster
This is a nice looking toaster. I’ve only had it for about a month. It’s easy to work the setting dial, and I like the different choices you have for different types of breads. It does take some trial and error to figure out the level of toasting. I gave it 4/5 stars because there have been a few times that the push down lever would not stay down which is a bit concerning since it’s basically brand new. We shall see if this proves to be durable as most Cuisinart products are.
Awful toaster
This toaster is awful. No matter what number I put it on the bread, bagel, muffin etc. is not toasted. Sometimes it is only toasted on one side. My old Cuisinart toaster was a basic model and did just fine. Unfortunately after many years it stopped working. You can see fingerprints on the stainless silver model. The numbers and descriptions of the different settings are very tiny and barely visible. I love Cuisinart products but this toaster is useless.
Think twice before buying, read all reviews!!
Been dragging my feet before writing this review and it’s just about toaster. Have to hold down knob it get the heat to come on as much as four times before it will hold. Toasts on one side hardly any browning on other side. Can’t figure how one slice slot works. Takes about 5 minutes to get a piece of toast. Cusinart sure goofed this time, I am very disappointed in this toaster. Had about 4 weeks now, wasn’t cheap, was hi dollar either. Cuisinart needs to take this toaster off their line. I have several Cuisinart items and always pleased.
Terrible quality. Don’t buy
I bought this toaster a couple of months ago. The quality is extremely poor. The metal on the sides are thin and it gets hot while using. This is a $10 toaster at best. I’m already looking for a replacement. Don’t waste your time or money.
Worst Two Slice Toaster
This two slice toaster is a piece of junk. First problem the push-down lever plastic piece broke. Yesterday the dial to select toast, waffles, pastry and so on now spins around 360 degrees. It does not click on the toast selection. DO NOT BUY THIS JUNK TOASTER .
Disappointed
My wife and I are disappointed in this toaster for two reasons. Sometimes the toaster doesn’t seem to lock in the “on” position and requires several attempts to push down on the lever for it to lock. Frustrating. The button that is supposed to save electricity by only toasting in one slot does not function (we have tried reepatedly to toast only on one side, but both sides of the toaster always function when this button is activated. We are disappointed in the build quality of the toaster for both these reasons.
Crumbs everywhere
This Cuisinart 2-slice toaster is a disappointment. The browning is irregular; the single slice option lets the toast almost burn on one side. But the real problem is the crumb tray. I actually thought it was missing because of all the crumbs left on the countertop. But, it is a Cuisinart(!) and I have not had quality issues with their other products; so I checked and saw that the tray slides out on the side. Surprise! It wasn't missing; It doesn't even cover the base of the toaster and essentially is useless. Bummer! I do not recommend.
[Rewarded Review] Disappointing
The toaster has all the necessary controls, which are laid out nicely, and is decent looking. Those are the high points.
A Hot Item
My standard for toast is an unfailing golden bread and solid cooked interior. New toaster has met he criterion continually. I,m grateful. I did have to buy a tray so that crumbs underneath were contained. There is no pan to catch them. It makes my breakfast delicious.thank you.
Finally a great toaster
We have gone through purchasing 3 toasters before this one. At last a toaster that has multiple settings for the types of bread, pastries, bagels etc. that we can enjoy with no complications with the use of the toaster. Our last toaster didn’t even toast the bagels right, and seemed cheaply made. There is a reason to research before buying consumer products and the name of cuisinart always stands up to its name.
Repeat toaster customer
I have used Cuisinart toasters for years because they are heavy duty and have a solid feel to them. I basically like this one but it doesn't have the solid feel to it. It rattles alittle and the does toast but at the darkest setting for waffles it is just a light toast. I got it because of the brand name and the multiple setting options and will continue to use it but have concerns it won't last as long as previous models.
A pretty good toaster
I've had this toaster for a couple of months now and although I'm satisfied with it, there are some oddities. If you only use one kind/texture of bread you can set a darkness preference and forget it, but expect one side to be darker than the other occasionally. If you toast dense sourdough type bread, it will take longer and requires an adjustment to the darkness lever. I'm used to it now, but hoped a higher dollar toaster might have a built in sensor to help regulate toasting time. Maybe a HIGH dollar toaster has that function?
Cheap lever breaks easily
This toaster worked great for a couple of years, and we felt it was worth spending the extra money. However, as others have noted, the lever is faulty and the plastic cover broke off after a couple of years of normal use. It's now almost impossible to push down and is quite painful without using a dishtowel or other padding.
Disappointing
This came pretty highly recommended, but I have been overall disappointed in its performance. No matter what type of toasting you are doing it is inconsistent. The controls are very user-friendly, but it’s just not the quality I had hoped for. I regret not having put the extra money into a Breville toaster.
Poor quality
Thought I was purchasing a good name brand toaster. After finally getting the chemical smell out of the toaster it has only lasted a few months. Toasts only half the bread. Not worth the money. I don’t recommend this toaster This is the second cuisinart I have purchased They both had the same problem. Don’t waste your money.
Really disappointed.
The toaster worked great for the first week and after that the lever stopped working and the toaster has to be unplugged to turn off the toasting elements. Kind of a fire hazard. When it worked it was the best toaster I have had but a $60 toaster should last more than a week or two. Lucky for us Macy had a sale and I had some star money and only paid 40. But still, I need a toaster that will continue to work for awhile.
Pleased with Cuisinart toaster
This replaced a more-than 15-year old toaster. The previous had only a "bagel" button which seemed to increase the toasting time. This Cuisinart features several selections. I tested the "defrost" button on some frozen bread right out of the freezer. It did a great job! In the past, I would defrost with the microwave first, then toast. Toasting is more even with this unit. My only complaint is I am used to a heavier model and this "feels" flimsy. Yet all the functions seem great so far!
