Have used this product in the past and it has worked well.

I use this all the time. In my area of NC the water has a fair amount of silt and minerals in the water. This Culligan 5-micron pleated filter is the first one that is in line for my incoming water supply. It does a great job of keeping unwanted silt out of the system. Behind this I use the smaller carbon filter as final filter. Well worth the money, keeps water in the system and the system clean.

DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO DO!

Allow yourself an hour or so to change the cartridge the first time....and take your time to get it right., several buckets.., one with clean water in it, another to empty the old filter and dirty water into, and another to catch what may spill out of the unit as you unscrew the big bowl off of the bottom of the unit. A clean rag or two, some plumbers grease for the big O-ring seal... maybe a roll of paper towels and a plastic grocery bag to throw the wet dirty ones into....and you'll be all set! You'll get better and faster at it. You got to do what you got to do.....if you want clean water.

Filters are great

Filters work well and last a LONG time! The housing that they fit in, however, becomes difficult to open without a massive wrench after about 9 years of use. But everything has a lifespan . . .

These filters are of the highest quality and are the best price we have ever found. Same brand has cost us at least $4.00 more for each filter.We use two at a time and that gets quite costly!
