[Rewarded Review] Simplistic in design and does the job needed
The DANCO Top Mount air Switch for Garbage Disposals is a very reasonably priced way to control your disposal if you are adding one where there was not one original to the kitchen. The installation of this product could not be easier. The Air Switch only needs an outlet under the sink to plug into and if your putting in a new sink with an extra hole already in the sink you are ready to go or if you need to you can drill a new hole in your stainless sink or countertop to accommodate the new Danco Air Switch. Danco recommends a 1-3/8" diameter hole.
[Rewarded Review] Cool hidden switch
If any of you all have read my reviews before, you'll know I try to think out of the box for things. It took a little thought process but this is what I came up with for this air switch for a garbage disposal. I built a pallet board headboard for my wife and mounted the push switch at the bottom center of the headboard. The air line went down to the plug in controller box that things can be plugged into. I then plugged in some LED tape light and mounted that on the back of the headboard. We have a split king bead so you can see the switch in the board because it sits to low between the beds. I am in the process of making a different headboard that will be a little higher so the switch is easier to get to to turn off and on the backlighting behind it. So if you have something you want to turn off and on and the cord is to short, figure out a way to use this switch for your project.
[Rewarded Review] Danco Top Air Mount
This Danco Top Mount Air Switch for Garbage Disposals in Chrome and Gray is very nice to have when your putting in a new garbage disposal or if you already have one. Makes it so much easier to use your garbage disposals and mounts for easy reach. Directions are easy to read and understand how to install it. Makes it great to have one of these and very nice color matches my kitchen sink and faucet.
[Rewarded Review] Super easy install and works great
Could not be an easier install and it has been working perfectly. This is the easiest small tubing connects I have ever made the custom designed pieces make it simple and seal tight. As long as you remember to place the nut to tie down the button along with the gasket, washer and the nut which secures the tubing into the button it will literally take minutes to install.
[Rewarded Review] Works as expected
Danco brand is very common with plumbing parts replacement for Delta, Moen and other manufacturers. Seeing Danco to relocate a garbage disposal switch I was a bit skeptical. After doing a performance test, I no longer have skepticism because this product works. This a great option for someone wants to relocate a wall switch or under the sink switch to above counter. It fits the regular faucet hole and installation is straight forward.
[Rewarded Review] Clean and Professional Install
This DANCO manufactured Garbage Disposal air switch is a alternate option to the wall mounted light switch, which easily mounts to the sink or countertop with a dual outlet under sink power source design, that usually the disposalitaelf plugs i to. This is a very popular option with contractors and homeowners who steer towards removing walls and creating island kitchens with the open ambiance. The push button switch for the garbage disposal operates on air pressure, instead of electricity, to activate the unit while reducing the potential of electric shock when you have wet hands. When you initially press the button down, it triggers a pulse of air towards the power control unit, then the air travels through the connected tubing between the button and the control unit. Once the control unit receives the air pulse, it turns on the power to your disposer, leaving the disposal running, you will need to press the button again to deactivate the signal to the garbage disposal. This product is compatible with the InSinkErator garbage disposal units as well as other disposer manufacturers.
[Rewarded Review] A stylish alternative to another wall switch
As part of my kitchen remodel, I purchased a new InSinkErator garbage disposal, so I naturally was eager to try out an air switch mounted to my sink deckplate, inside of adding yet another wall switch to my kitchen backsplash.
[Rewarded Review] Nice addition to turn on/off the disposal. Hidden and safer!
I was familiar with air switches because that is what is used on the garden/spa tub in the bathroom. This is a great idea for running the disposal in the kitchen. Installation is super easy if you already have an outlet under the sink/island. Then the switch just mounts in one of the sink basin holes like when installing the faucet/sprayer/soap dispenser. So there really is not much to this unit. It also keeps you have having to touch a switch directly powered. With the air being pushed through the tub triggering the switch on/off, you never come in close contact. So it is a double win as the switch is hidden and safer to use.
[Rewarded Review] Switch
This disposal switch is handy. It gives you the option to have the switch for you garbage disposal close at hand and easy to use. This was easy enough to install if you have knowledge of garbage disposals. The switch worked well and having the ability to having it close to the disposal is handy. I would definitely recommend this product to others that have a garbage disposal.
[Rewarded Review] Unconventional Use
Well, I used this in a totally unconventional way and I absolutely love love LOVE the simplicity of what it does for me. I mounted my button below my table saw table and on the same side as my power button for the table saw. I then take the power outlet that attaches to the button (the part you would normally plug the garbage disposal into) to my outlet. I THEN plug my dust collector and vacuum into the outlet on the outlet (that would be for turning on disposal). This allows me to turn on the dust collector then the saw without having to walk around. Take a look at my pictures.
[Rewarded Review] High quality fast air switch
The air switch is a must on all countertops. Not only it provides better control and fast operation, but also it is a safe way of turning on and off the garbage disposal with wet hands.
[Rewarded Review] A Great Way To Control Your Disposal Without A Wall Switch
This is a great way to control your garbage disposal if you don't have a dedicated wall switch and you don't want to have to open the cupboard door to turn it on and off. With this switch you simply plug the garbage disposal into the black plug on the unit and then plug the unit into the electrical outlet. Then you connect the plastic tube into the bottom of the unit and push the other end into the push button. Then you can mount the push button in an available hole in the sink or drill a hole wherever you want it. Then to turn the disposal on and off you just push the button and it starts and stops it. And it does it all without needing to change any of the wiring or switches.
[Rewarded Review] Highly recommend for value, looks, easy install, and safety.
Tha Danco Top Mount Air Switch for Garbage Disposals with Chrome Button is a great addition to any kitchen with a disposal. Its very easy to install and comes with all hardware you will need. Its attractive with different options of colors to match your kitchen. Its small enough to install in multiple places and has six foot of hose for good reach. The fact that you will no longer be reaching for a wall switch with wet hands is comforting, not so much with electrifying thoughts. Highly recommend.
[Rewarded Review] Safety for your sink.
This air switch is a nice safer way of turning on your garbage disposal than worrying about getting a shock with wet hands. It took a bit to drill a hole for the switch in our quarts top but once it was done it was a breeze to install the switch. Jut having to add the hose to the bottom of the air switch and feed it through to under the sink. Then attach it to the electric plug air switch, plug it in and it works with the push of the button to turn on and push to turn off. and the chrome looks good on the button.
