We love this lamp

We absolutely love this lamp. Not bulky. Small but gives a strong light. Perfect for reading.

I did buy a second one because I liked it so much.

I needed a light over my chair where I could read easily. I didn't want a large floor lamp and this has worked out perfectly. Great light to read by.

Exactly what I was looking for.

This lamp has a slim profile, does not take up much space next to my reading chair. The light can be directed to exactly where I want it, on the pages of my book, perfect.

The focused natural light beam is great for reading. The sharp modern look gives my living room a nice touch.

Don't buy, only lasts about 1 year

This light is supposed to last about 15 years. Only used 4-5 hours per week and it completely stopped working after 1.5 years. Way to expensive for such a short lifetime.

This product is defective. The light flashes constantly. It's unfortunate as it is the perfect height that I am looking for. I am exchanging it for another one. Hopefully this one will work. I'll write another review when I receive it.

Just what I've been looking for!

Easy assembly. Love the flexibility of aiming the light in a pool for reading or in a beam for close hand work such as mending or knittin.

Fantastic reading light!

You did not send the light in the black color I ordered.

It broke in 4 months

The switch broke and the light won't come on. The customer Support site said it no longer existed and to contact the manufacturer. No help at all from Sharper Image at all. Ok I'll never use SI again

i like this lamp very much.

My living area has very dim light. For reading and plain old reading mail, this lamp goes behind my theater chairs. The great part is the head adjusts to the area where light is needed without disturbing others.

Light is too intense

I would like this lamp, however the light is too bright, intense, too cool (vs. warm) for comfortable reading at night. It's too bad you can't adjust the brightness of the light like you can in many reading lamps. Lamp is more suited to crafts, etc. where you're doing very intricate tasks where extra bright light is needed to see very fine details. Disappointed in the lamp for my intended use. Too much work to return the lamp, so it may be used very infrequently for situations where VERY bright light is needed. The product description should be clear and specific in the actual light specifications.

Perfect Solution

I wanted a light to place behind a reading chair in my bedroom. Works perfectly! Easy to assemble, sturdy and love the ability to change the coverage area.

I would purchase this item again as came as advertised.

Great for subtle lighting for houseplants.

One unexpected development is that the simulation to daylight is so effective that one of my cats demands the spotlight be on him as h lies belly side up.
