The lamp is light weight and yet substantial. The touch on/off and brightness feature is really helpful, especially when you have a couple of brushes in your hand which also have paint on them. The three brightness options are also great.

Small Size Great Light

I bought this light for my drafting table. I work in a variety of media and really need bright light to assess what I am doing in different tones. This is a lightweight and super adaptable light which provides me with a very real looking light in a variety of strengths. I am SO glad I bought it and have used it every day since it arrived. This is the first Daylight Company lamp that we've purchased. We bought it about 4 weeks ago for my wife's easel. The clamp made it easy to attach and it gives her plenty of light while she's painting. The clamp also easily attaches to our table which is about 1.5" thick. It's lightweight and easy to install. The neck is flexible and the lamps can be positioned at different angles to concentrate or distribute the light. The color of the light is similar to natural sunlight which is important for painting. This turned out to be a great lamp for her application.
