It was not the quality I expected for the price

Too Difficult to assemble, color is not evenly

To difficult to assemble for a person who can handle most of the furniture! Hurt my finger! And the color is faded! Too high for kids under 6 to sit on!

Handsome shoe bench - Difficult Assembly

The assembled product looks great! It is a great looking shoe organizer. Except for the backing the pieces are very durable. The backing arrived scratched, but you can’t really see it after it’s assembled. Assembly was not so easy. The top, bottom, and two shelves had to be secured to one side along with the backing which slide in a groove. You need help! Someone has to squeeze the top and bottom to keep the backing in its groove. Then the other side needs to be secured. Another obstacle was that the pegs that secure the top and bottom were not even on both sides. They had to be hammered in to make it even.

Good design

Great bench - it fit very well in our space and looks classy. Also, like its utility and double use: bench show storage.

Easy to assemble!!!

It took me 30 mins to assemble and put it together. I suggest if you're doing it alone, after putting the two sides together, secure the screws on one side and avoid fully securing the other side, it will make it easy to slide the back part in and put the middle pieces together after. I followed the instructions at first, but it was hard to slide the back piece in when you're doing it alone. If you have someone to help you, it may be easy the way the rules are instructing you to follow. It is a really nice piece, I use it on my back entry door since that is basically our main entrance. Seems to be very sturdy. if I have any problems, I will come and update my review, but so far I am happy with the bench.

Great bench but chip defect in actual bench

I really like the bench but was sad to see the actual bench portion came with a chip in the wood. It looks like a defect in the actual production of the product. At this point I have it put together and I am not taking it back apart. It is not a cheap bench so I recommend checking all your pieces prior to putting it together. I did, but apparently didn't look close enough.

Eh, keep looking.

I ordered this for our entry way for storage of shoes. While I love the finish and that most of this is constructed out of actual wood, the finish is very flaky and one end arrived with a ton of scratches on it from transit - some of the finish actually flaked off on my rug when assembling it. It's also not the sturdiest feeling, especially for a bench. I will be returning this and will keep looking.

Good product

My entry area looks great and organized now. Bench is well made and sturdy. It arrived earlier than the estimated date. I am happy with it.

Take your time assembling it, if you want a good result. It's very nice. Not as tall as it looks in the picture, but still looks elegant. You'll be glad you bought it.

color is misleading

The picture color is not the same as advertised. you can see it's much lighter. It's a pretty bench but it's not the color I'd hoped for. since my husband put it together before I saw the color- I'm stuck with it. So a bit disappointed.

Solid, nice-looking bench

This is a sturdy bench. The wood is solid and thick. The inside shelves are a bit less sturdy. It was not hard to assemble and looks classy in the foyer.

Great for an entryway

I bought two of these for my entryway and they work great! They hold a lot of shoes and are the perfect place to sit and put your shoes on. They are a little bit wobbly, but for the price, I would say they are good quality. The color is also true to the picture.

For the price, it looks nice and it's sturdy!! Easy to assemble. The shelves are quite narrow so you wouldn't be able to store your heels but there's plenty of room for many other pairs of shoes.

Winsome Wood Dayton Shoe Storage Bench

This is a great piece for the price! It's sturdy and not too difficult to assemble. I highly recommend this bench if you are looking for a storage bench for a small space. It's perfect!

Great entry way shoe bench!

Very happy with this purchase, I read all the reviews which helped with this purchase. The size is perfect and very stable, no damage. It fits all shoes and hi top sneakers, and keeps entry way organized. Very easy to put together, took the advise on other reviews and put the shelves in last. The color and stain is beautiful and matches other high end solid mahogany furniture I have. Can also be used inside a closet to hold 12 pairs of shoes total - 4 pairs on each shelf - sizes 7.5 & 12.

Perfect shoe rack, very classy

This unit was pretty easy to put together but time consuming. The unit itself is really a lovely unit with ample room for most shoes, however my husband wears a 13 and the shoes barely fit. Higher top athletic shoes will not fit as the space between the shelves is narrow. But overall it is elegant, good quality and does the job really nicely.

A little difficult to assemble. It took 2 people. However, durable and beautiful.
