Nope. Cheap damper kept falling off the register cover. Finally got that to stay attached, but in the slightly larger (6 x 12) size that I also needed, my foot bent the metal. I’m no lightweight, but there are others heavier than me. Metal feels one notch above aluminum foil in terms of strength.
They look great with my new luxury vinyl floor. Love them.

This floor register was a perfect match for the new hickory flooring in our family room. It looks elegant and dropped right into place. I plan secure them with velcro rather than screws. The sliding mechanism for controlling the airflow is much better than the louvres in the old registers.
