I've had this system installed for a few weeks now and I have to say it's been great. The cooling has been efficient and has kept up on several 100-degree days without issue. The app is easy to use and gives me peace of mind when I'm gone as to what the room temp is. I can cool down the house before I get home or if I'm going to be spontaneous, I can warm it up some to save on electricity. It doesn't pull all the humidity out of my house in my climate, but it generally keeps up if you leave it in dry mode. My only complaint is the power wires are shorter than the lines wires by like a foot so you have to run the wires outside the cover if you put it under a cover.
This is a really great unit for the price and even though it was a first-time install for me, it was within my skills with a little research, YouTube, etc. A couple of pieces of advice. If you watch some YouTube videos installing this and other mini splits, you will see people bundling and wrapping all the lines and control cable before feeding through the wall to the outside. this turns out to NOT be ideal. the unit comes with copper coolant lines folded across the back, and if you are facing the front of the unit, this is from Right to Left. The drain is also pre-attached to R to L as well. The instructions show you can exit the tubing either out the R, L, or straight out the back. Here is the advice. If you exit them from the left of the unit, as they are pre-folded or directed, you end up making the connections on the back of the unit on the inside wall. It also means you have to either connect the lines before you hang the unit and bundle all the lines and then feed to the outside or make the connections behind the unit while it is hanging. This is quite difficult. If there is any way possible, it is best to take the lines and re-orient them directly out the back, or exiting straight out the back on the R side where they originate. this allows you to make the connections on the outside wall and have easy access to them should there be an issue. After I had installed my unit the hard way, I found a video where this was the method and it would have been 1000x easier. Additionally, after installing my unit, I thought I had a leak and was forced to try to resolve it behind the unit while it was hanging which was beyond challenging.
I really love this mini-split. Easy to install, have every part you need for installation, and don't make any sound. Cooling my family room is incredible
As I understand it this is the largest unit that doesn't require 220V and it does the job! Should have bought it years ago since the main air conditioner has never worked for the whole house. I like that it can be turned on/off from the phone so the room will be cool when needed and only when needed saving on electricity.
Luckily I have a brother who's an electrician and a good friend who's an HVAC technician so with the 3 of us the installation went very well and was easy to do. I believe I could have installed the unit by myself by watching some YouTube videos but to keep my warranty I used certified technicians. The inside and outside units are extremely quiet which was a very pleasant surprise. Running the unit at the coldest setting it was coming out at 49?? which was amazing. It moves air very far across the room and so far works better than expected. All in all, I'm very happy with the unit and installation. Not sure about my electric bill but that was the least of my worries.
Back from vacation, and the 5-year-old Carrier mini-split was out. Electric Surge. 4 to 5 thousand to replace. Found the Della with the best Reviews. Installed ourselves with a few bought tools, and works better than the Carrier ever did. So quiet. Took a while to install, but saved so much money. I would definitely buy it again.
I'll start off with the install was pretty easy. I'm not very handy and I was able to do 90% of the installation by myself. (The other 10% would be the electrical box). The unit is VERY quiet, both inside and out. You can't even tell if the outside condenser is on except for the fan slightly spinning. The inside unit is quiet and powerful. I've been keeping the fan on a 2 or 3 out of a maximum 6 fan speed. It spits out ice-cold air. My only complaint is that the inside unit is a little larger than I would like it to be. Would definitely purchase again.
This is my second mini-split and I propose getting a different one than my first (Sevnille Leto).
This is a game changer 1 month in and couldn't be happier. No issues so far and honestly a lot easier to install than you think just YouTube it
For starters, I originally had a Fujitsu Halycon that was recently given out. They're about $2000, along with Mitsubishi, Gree, and Carrier, the big names. I only got 4 years out of the Fujitsu and it gave out. Motherboard fried. Replacement is like $800. So I decided I'm gonna try a no-name brand, save 40%, and if it sucks then no harm no foul. If I'm only getting 4 years out of it why spend 2k instead of 1k?
My first time installing an AC system - and yes, I used a vacuum to pull the lines down. While at this point I'd rate myself as ''handier than many'', I found the instructions clear enough, despite a few bits of ''English'', to successfully install the unit. It is drastically quieter than the window unit it replaced, more energy efficient, and about twice as powerful. I'll have to see how it does in the hottest part of the summer - when the poor window AC unit was maybe not quite powerful enough.
Delivery was fast, ordered on a Friday and FedEx delivered on Monday. As a retired tech I have all the tools needed to install including vac pump and gauges. About 3 hours and it was running. It is extremely quiet and efficient. I would highly recommend this mini-split.
I had gotten a few bids to add a mini-split heat pump to one of the rooms in my house, and they were all in the $7K range, which I didn't want to spend. Part of that cost was going to be the cost of installing a new 220v outlet. This is basically the biggest BTU heat pump that can run on a standard 110V outlet, and so I decided to take on the project myself!
This unit is so quiet! You can't hear it running inside or outside! It cools my 12 x 28 building! It's perfect! I'm very pleased with this purchase! I-have already recommended it to others!
