Very easy to put together and true to description. I gave it four stars because the shelf wood has several spots where the veneer is coming up.

The chair shipped to me unassembled in a box. I put it together. It does not sit like the chair I sat in on the showroom floor. That chair was so comfortable I changed my mind about what chair I would buy. This chair is so uncomfortable I will likely never sit in it again. So it's become a very expensive cat chair.

Would not buy again - very uncomfortable to sit on

Sorry to say, there are several things about this purchase that went awry - for one, there was no mention by the sales person that this chair would be delivered in pieces and parts and that I'd have to put it together. This did not make me happy, but I got it together after an hour or so. The bigger issue, however, is that, though it looks like the chair in the showroom, the chair I sat in and very much liked and bought based on sitting on it, this chair has very, very, very stiff cushions and is unfortunately very uncomfortable to sit on. Yet my cat Bud LOVES this chair, laying both under it and sitting on it. Go figure. Maybe, in time, it will loose its stiffness, but that means I'll have to keep sitting on this very uncomfortable chair hoping that one day it will become comfortable.

Well, the product had a tag on it on the showroom floor that said "made in U.S.A. When we received it, it said "made in China" on the box. We were refunded the money when we returned them minus the $50 delivery charge. I will never buy anything from Steinhafels again.

The table has a very cool mid century look, especially if you put cool mid century magazines or books in the display area. The quality is great. The is the first furniture shipment I've received in a long while that hasn't been damaged somehow in shipping. It was the first piece of furniture shipped to me with the right type of packaging in years!
