2700k is the right call if you like very warm / soft lights. It has a very nice warmth to it, basically mimicking the non-LED incandescent lights. We’ve gotten so many LEDs in the past that is too white which we dislike for our cozy home.

I ordered this recessed gimbal LED light from the Depot to replace an old halogen fixture. Everything is included in the box except for a Romex connector or two depending on your wiring and a few common hand tools for installation. This unit does not need a recessed can for installation. It mounts directly into the drywall ceiling. My ceiling is 1/2 drywall and the fit was perfect. I used the included template to cut the 4 1/8 inch hole using a drywall hand saw. The wire connections are explained well; typical three wire connection, hot, neutral, and ground. The wire connections are push in speed connectors. Because I had a fixture in the location already, there was no need to run power to the location. Although I installed it in a “dry” location, it can also be used in a damp location like a shower or over a bath tub. There are two adjustable spring loaded clamps that hold the fixture tight to the drywall and securely in place. The one I ordered has a brushed nickel finish and is flawless. Now for the specs, the gimbal rotates about 40-45 degrees, the fixture is dimmable, and uses only 11 watts for 920 lumens of 4000k bright light. Works and looks great. Just what we expected and very simple to install.

It is a light that can be used with a dimmer switch although not included. the light will fit into many placed that the old style will not fit as this does not require a junction box. It does come with a 5 year warranty and a LED light life expectancy of 60,000 hours.

I got this to install in my shower, its a perfect light for this purpose. I love the way it looks, it throws plenty of light and it's very easy to install. The Brushed Nickel finish looks to be a very nice quality and I imagine it will look great for many years. The push to connect wire blocks are very easy to use as opposed to having to deal with wire nuts. All in all this is a great light.

Came well packaged and arrived fast. I had already put one of these in my other closet (except this one was bronze) so i put it in a small hidden closet that no one would ever see in that closet so the bronze unlike all of the rest of fixtures in my house was ok. It put out all the light that was needed in a very small closet. Was easy to install and done the job I needed it for.
