Nice warm addition to the bedroom

The electric log set has a nice design, is easy to assemble, and adds warmth to the bedroom. We're pleased with the quality of the unit. It has lots of lighting and heating options all accessible via the remote. Shipping was fast and well packaged. We also ordered the optional ember mat, which adds to the ambiance. One suggestion to improve the ember mat is to have the manufacturer add 1 inch of height to the back underside to slope the ember mat toward the front of the fireplace increasing its visibility. We added a piece of block under the back.

Disappointing flame

I bought the more expensive model because it indicated that the look of flame was better and brighter. Not true. There is barely a flame and the logs are arranged in such a way that you can see the mechanism at work. I am really not happy with it at all. I called customer service and was brushed off with an "other people like it" comment, and told to call some resolution #, which, of course was closed for the day. Lessons learned. Don't waste your money.

Cheap plastic firedog arrived BROKEN......Over $300 for plastic! Shame on me but more on Dimplex! Too much hassel to return, so it's clamps and glue!

The regular log fireplace looks better.

The product looks great and real when unlit, but the split wood doesn't glow from the inside like the standard log model, so is darker and not as real looking.

Easy to set up and install. Creates a really nice realistic looking ambiance! Definitely heats the room, even on low!! Would highly recommend!!

Great design and visuals!

Overall very happy with the setup, look and lighting it provides in our fireplace. We are not allowed to burn a real fire in our rental home since the last tenant's mishaps so this is a great substitute. As mentioned the look is nice with realistic flames, cut logs, backlighting and glowing ash mat. Only complaint is the heat device is not as strong as expected.

It looks like a real set of logs which is exactly what we were hoping for. I can't wait to build out the fireplace wall and upload a finished photo.

Love the Fireplace

Looks very real. Enjoying it every day and evening. Does not feel hot or put off as much heat as a wood or gas fireplace but with blower on helps keep the room a nice even warmth. We have received lots of compliments on how real and nice it looks. Makes the room cozy.

Works great

We love this electric fireplace log set. It was as described. Looks like real logs and puts out nice heat. I love the different flame colors and heat setting if you want high or low. Also you can make the backdrop different light settings. I highly recommend this

Very realistic

Really great looking. During the day you can see the plastic screen a little but the flames, embers and glowing logs are amazing. Have had electric logs before and thought they looked too hokey. This is great. The heater gives a bit more heat than I was expecting. Very happy. Going to go and read a book in front of the fireplace with a wee dram of scotch.

When my wife announced she wanted to purchase an electric fireplace insert for our retirement villa in Hilton Head I was opposed. Having lived in cold and snowy Massachusetts for the past 40 years we knew all about wood burning fireplaces. Surprise, surprise… 😍 No fuss, no hassle and the added heating element takes care of the winter “chill” . Not only does it look real but coupled with an Alexa sound track it fools people who think it is the real deal. Highly recommended especially down here in y’all land.

We haven't used our fireplace yet since it's not quite the season, but are in love with how this fit perfectly into our oddly-sized opening. The logs look very realistic and the ash mat adds that little something extra to complete the look. Shipping was quick and everything arrived secure. The insert itself took only a few minutes to set up. For others with oddly-sized openings, FYI - the logs themselves are 20" across. It's the mirage flame panel that makes up the additional 3.75" in the tech spec (it sticks out 1.875" past the logs on each side). For a beautiful look that includes forced-air heat without the hassle of dealing with gas or venting, you can't go wrong with this set!

The log set was easy to put together out of the box. It looks pretty good. The only thing I didn't love about this was the reflection of the plastic screen that sits behind the logs.
