As shown in the accompanying photo, the can/housing separated from the top (the portion with the wiring). A bit of background: I had used the provided guide to size the hole. The housing slid in easily; however, when I tried to pull the unit out to make some adjustments on the wiring, the sheet metal edge on the cap caught on the Sheetrock. Rather than stop my project to get a replacement shipped (not stocked in any nearby store), I put the pieces together, applied metallic insulation tape all around the cap and can thereby holding it firmly in place, and installed it back on the ceiling.

The pop outs that hold on to the drywall would keep popping back out and it took a while for them to actually stay.

These cans are very easily to install and lay nice and flat against your ceiling when in stalling. You do need to purchase the outer cover that you want to match with your interior/exterior. Influenster sent this for my opinion.

I didn’t realize it had to be hardwired into something but hey i am not electrician. Also why i will not be able to use this product yet but as soon as i have the opportunity to get it up i will come back with another review.

I’m so excited to have received this in exchange for my honest review. We’re doing some outdoor work on my house and this lighting can will come in handy it’s bright, easy to install, energy efficient, and versatile. Thank you Influenster and designer lighting for allowing me to test this product.

I was supposed to get the product in the first picture, but instead received the second one. It wouldn’t have been too bad if they had at least looked similar.

Only 3 Spring Loaded Arms To Hold In Place

Purchased these cans because, as the advertised item photo indicates, it is supposed to have 4 spring loaded arms to hold the can in place. Having 4 as opposed to 3 securing arms can make a difference in how tight/secure the can is held in place, so if you're looking for a recessed can with 4 spring arms then don't purchase these. Home Depot or EnviroLite needs to fix the image used to represent what is being sold is actually what's being delivered. Aside from that, no issue.

Good quality, easy to install

Very easy can to work with. I installed these in the upstairs bedroom and was working on them in the attic. Three things were great about them - a) Clipping them on to the ceiling drywall was easy and they held firmly. b) The box does not use screws - its got a clip that closes the lid or allows it to flip open so you're not fiddling with screws in a hot and dusty attic. The box can also open from either direction, so its very convenient. c) instead of using twist on wire connectors, these cans come with push-in wire connectors. As long as your Romex is cut to the right length, all you have to do is push the bare wire into a hole on the connector and it click-locks to it. Much easier and quicker than twist locks, and a better connection too.
