Reviews

I am 30, had a Buzz and Woody as a child. These suck. They perfected the karate chop, as if that werr whateas missing from my life. But what happened to the laser? The helmet, that did the "swoosh" that? It is a cheap knock off, of a cheap toy, that was a knockoff in the movie.

Buttons aren't functional

Only one of the buttons on Buzz is functional. My son is frequently upset, that the blue, green, and red buttons do not work. Had I know that I could find the doll elsewhere with functioning buttons, I would have returned this immediately. It's not worth it for the price.

Durable/has multiple sayings

The buzz looks and sounds similar to original. The wings don’t spread because it is the “chop” buzz that does karate moves instead. I do wish I paid more attention to that. It doesn’t stand very well, but I can get him to sit.

Nothing like youd expect and overpriced

Absolute garbage. This doll, like the woody one doesnt say things you'd expect. Also only has 1 button that works and buzz's wing dont come out. The original i bought fpr mydest child 10 years ago had all the working buttons, laser light, wings and his helmet opened with the touch of a button. Very overpriced for what you get

No wings, no laser, etc...

This toy does not meet the expectations of all the little gadgets that come with Buzz. He ONLY chops and has 1 button to push to hear his quotes. Should’ve read the reviews first but was caught up buying it for my son that is a new buzz fan while we were in the store shopping. Returned with no issues after opening it.

Keep your expectations low

No wings, one functioning button (and it isn't the laser), fingers don't move, it's set of phrases are mostly chopping sounds, the chop button works in reverse. Got it for a 2 year old, who probably won't notice any of these issues. It's a glorified action figure. Not sure why they wouldn't just make one similar to the movies. For sure wouldn't buy it again.

Old version is better

The old version is 100% better. This one has no wings and the 3 colored buttons don’t work on this one either and no laser! Definitely feels cheaper too. Only reason I’m keeping it because my soon really likes it.

Better ones out there

The three buttons on his right don’t do anything, the paint was already chipped off while the new toy was on the shelf. He has some cool phrases but no wings, no lasers, extremely minimal while you can find better ones for almost the same price. Not impressed, had to return.

worst buzz toy

I never negative reviews, but I'm just being honest. This buzz doll compared to the older ones sucks! Maybe it's just because I grew up in the older days where the buzz toys were actually like the movies? Maybe I'm spoiled. But the only thing this buzz has is the karate Chop action, it's not Walmarts fault but who ever made this was lazy! They can't even put a light bulb in for a laser beam. The helmet doesn't even open all the way, and don't even give me started on the no wings! Oh yeah, and some of his voice commands are creepy. Just play the one where he laughs he'll know what i'm talking about😂

Nice toy but doesn’t have wings

One of the most memorable parts of Buzz Lightyear are his wings that blast out of the back. This toy does not come with wings, his laser also doesn’t work. He does say phrases and has held up to some normal childhood play abuse. I would have loved him more if his laser worked and he had wings.

Made cheaper then older version

Wings do not expand like in previous buzz lightyears. The 3 "buttons" to the left do not work anymore. You only get 1 button that makes him speak and 1 button in the back that makes his right arm "karate chop". Very disappointing. would not have purchased if i knew this previously.

Kinda boring Buzz...

Kinda boring. I mean it’s buzz and talks but not phrases from the movie. The buttons are fake on the left side. No wings, it only karate chops. Returning it and getting a better one from JCPenney for $15 less.

Buzz Lightyear to the rescue.

Last minute my 4 year old decided she wanted a Buzz and Woody doll (and they have been her most played with Christmas toy) and I’m so glad I was able to get him. This one’s wings down flip out, which isn’t a dealbreaker. He’s great. His arms move and he talks a little.

Get a better buzz on disney.com for a few bucks more.

Horrible looking and just boring. The buzz action figure from the actual Disney store costs a few bucks more and 10xs better. This buzz’s wings didn’t even extend out nor have a laser. I returned this buzz the same day it got delivered

Action-Chop Buzz Lightyear

Who doesn’t like Toy Story? Love this movie ever since my son was a child. This was purchased for our grandson who also loves the movie. Love the quality of this toy and does everything (except fly :)) that is expected. Definitely a toy to cherish for life! We can’t wait to give this toy to our grandson for Christmas.

Pretty good Buzz

This Buzz is pretty good for the price. I actually purchased it for my smart 2 year old granddaughter who loves all the Toy Story movies. I think if she was older I would have been more disappointed that his wings don’t open and nothing lights up but for this situation less is probably better. He says a lot of cool things and she hasn’t gone anywhere without him since he arrived a week ago. His voice does sound like the real thing so no complaints.

Very durable!

At first I was skeptical about this buzz because it seemed a little overpriced. This toy is so DURABLE!! My nephew is a destructive little boy and this thing has managed to keep all limbs attached despite the destruction. Was a little bummed he didn’t ONLY say “to Infinity and beyond”, but how can I be mad when he says so much more than that! Definitely worth it. My nephew has had this for 6 months now and it’s his favorite.

[Rewarded Review] Cool re-release, but...

This toy is definitely cool, with an updated array of phrases, but it lacks in holding my child's attention since it has extremely limited play functions.

[Rewarded Review] Fun, but no off switch

My son is was so excited to get this toy. It is a classic Buzz Lightyear. It has two buttons. One is just makes Buzz say a lot of different phrases and the other makes him Karate chop while saying something. Overall, great for a 4 year old. My one issue is that it had no off switch...can I just say that is super annoying. Other than that it is really good solid quality. This thing can take a beating from my son and still look good. I'm glad he likes it and I would recommend it for kids who love Toy Story and want a toy with an interactive aspect to it.

[Rewarded Review] Karate Buzz Lightyear Action-Chop Figure

Overall Buzz Lightyear is very similar to previous issued figures with new phrases and the action karate chop right arm. It was cool that new phrases were activated with the action chop, but they were a little out of sync with the action. Pushing in the back button starts the action and Buzz talking, but sometimes the words and the action did not go together. It would have been more realistic if the arm movement, speech and the words used were in sync and appropriate for Buzz's action chop. Some were and some weren't.
