if you need clear instructions look elsewhere

took three tries (e.g., put the frame together then took it apart and started over) to get the chair to NOT wobble - unfortunately it still has some play in it - i guess that doesn't matter tho because there are no guides for placing the seat - expected there to be predrilled holes to guide the placement but there's nothing . . . so basically i have a wobbly chair frame for a seat i can't attach - hoping i can return the second one i bought but shipping costs will determine that - i don't recommend this to anyone who doesn't have assembly knowledge beyond the one sentence instruction for each section - after spending more than $100 and more than three hours i thought i'd have a decent chair to show for it!!
