So glad I purchased this bookshelf! I took a chance on this, not knowing if it would match our existing dining set. It is nearly a perfect match, both in color and style; I couldn't be happier. This Draper bookcase is solid and the trickier critical joints are pre-fabricated to avoid any DIY execution errors. This is among the best RTA furniture that we have ever purchased. The back panel is also wood, and not the cheapy, color-matched cardboard that many other furniture kits provide. Loving ths new addition to our dining area!

Cute MCM bookcase

This narrow bookcase was perfect for my little office corner. It's so cute! It matches my MCM-style desk from a different company, both in the MCM teak, as well as my Antique 1930s/midcentury-era chair. I like the drawer. It holds more than I expected, and the little nooks let me sort my different books and things. It was easy to put together, and we didn't have any trouble. This was our 4th piece from Simpli-Home's Draper collection, and we've been very pleased. Our living room looks so classy and retro, but we didn't blow our budget!

Quality Mid-Century Pieces at an Affordable Price

Finding Simpli-Home's solid wood Mid-Century collection was such a pleasant surprise! We love Frank Lloyd Wright's and Mid-Century designs, but we never expected to be able to own anything like it that wasn't made of MDF. We bought two of the Draper wide bookcases for our living room to flank a window. They're petite, a good height for 8' walls that would be overwhelmed by taller bookcases. My husband and I put them together, and we didn't really have any problems. Each bookcase plus anchoring took 2-2.5 hours. A couple pieces had to be wiggled a little extra, and a couple of the locking screws chipped the surface around the hole, but that's covered by the shelf end. One shelf divider has a rough spot which looks like it was filled in, but we put it on the bottom shelf, and you can't even see it. As for the teak finish, it's a lovely color and looks just like the teak in the FLW house we visited. The drawers are a nice touch, perfect for small puzzles and coloring books. I'm ecstatically happy with this purchase. We've ordered the Draper low TV stand now, so that will help round out the room. A Draper desk would be perfect! Less

I like it, I did not like the placement of the stickers on the wood. I would recommend it.

Draper Line

Sturdy and easy to put together. Love the look and fits perfectly in a narrow space. My only complaint is that the 2x3" orange and white warning tag was affixed to the inside of one of the shelves so was quite visible - as opposed to being affixed to the back. Despite the "do not remove" warning, of course had to use Goo Gone and some elbow grease to remove it.

Great size for my board game collection. Directions can be tricky because of the asymmetric design.

Love this piece. Been a while since I have seen a solid wood item sold online. Very solid, simple and lovely piece. Would add style to any home.

Draper bookcase

This bookcase looks fantastic, was easy to assemble, and I would recommend it.

Nice sturdy set of shelves. Perfect for LP storage.

Description did not say assembly required so disappointed when I saw it arrive in a very large, very heavy box. Husband is handy so went to work putting it together only to find that because it is self assembly it uses cam screws that then have cheap plastic covers to cover the metal cam screws. These cam screws covers are VERY visible in several areas of the bookcase making it look like cheap IKEA furniture. Could have saved myself about $500 and purchased one from IKEA

Great Design and Excellent Quality Book Cases

I love Simpli-Home furniture and I love the Draper Mid Century Modern collection. I purchased several of their items already. It is so rare to find affordable, high-quality items. The furniture is made out of solid, quality wood and shows great craftsmanship. This Draper Bookcase is no exception. The Teak Brown is beautiful and I am only sad that the Draper Coffee Table in Teak Brown is sold out. We left the back panel off the bookcases but I am sure it would look wonderful with the back panel also. It is not hard to put together and very sturdy. And it is a perfect match for my Draper Media Stand! Highly recommended.

Love the midcentury vibe. Sturdy. Easy to assemble. I chose not to put the back panel on- I like that open look better.
