Love it
I got the Linon - Charcoal Office Chair a few weeks ago. I love how easy set up was. Everything to assemble this chair was included and the instructions were really easy to follow. The chair also comes with two extra rollers for future backup if needed. This chair is a good choice for people who are looking for a stylish and comfortable office chair.
Great Chair
This Charcoal Office Chair by Linon was quite easy to put together and looks great at my desk.
Looks beautiful but cheaply made and cushioning flattened
I bought this about 14 months ago and I'm already actively looking for another WFH office chair. The seat cushion has already flattened and I'm a 125lb woman working from home about 2-3 days per week only. The chair has developed a slight tilt to it that feels like it was cheaply made and not holding up to light-moderate wear. The mechanism that lifts and lowers fails slowly while I'm sitting on it so I have to adjust it back up occasionally. It looks beautiful so if you just want it for light use, it would likely be fine.
Nice chair for the price.
The chair was very easy to assemble in about 20 min. It is wider and a tad larger than it looks on the Target website. It seems fairly well mad with only a few irregularities. The cushion is not 100% even, dips in one place and is higher on the other side but this is not very obvious when you look at it or when you sit on it. Same for the back of the chair, uneven structure and you can push in one side like cardboard popping in and out beneath the fabric of the chair. I am 5’2” and it’s a little tall so my food do not completely touch the ground flat and I can’t lower it any more. The tension under the chair is easy to adjust to made them seat not move back at all or to loosen the tension to lean back a little more than I’m comfortable with. Found a happy medium on the tension. Overall good enough to keep for my need (in a classroom), looks very nice, just not super high end well made.
Where do I begin?
First, the chair arrived in a box that looked like it had been dragged from the bumper of the UPS truck and packed by a 4 year old with an iOS roll of package tape. When I opened the box, the hardware necessary to put the chair together was missing. After two 45 minute calls with customer service I had the hardware sent to me. A week or so later it arrived. I went to put the chair together again and discovered the wheels were the wrong wheels. I called Target again and now they are sending me a whole new chair to take the wheels from. Then I will have to return the rest. When I asked for a refund for the sheer ridiculousness of this experience they offered a $10 gift card. Trash chair. Trash customer service. Pretty color though.
Very Disappointed
The chair itself is absolutely beautiful and goes perfectly with my office space. From it's appearance one would think that the chair would be equally as comfortable. As it appears to be well cushioned. Unfortunately, that is not the case. The chair is very uncomfortable and is very deceiving in it's appearance.
Chair is gorgeous; Hayneedle is great!
The chair is exactly as I expected. The look is great and it's extremely comfortable. Assembly was fairly easy, considering instructions are pictures only, with no real direction. My first experience with Hayneedle was awesome. Ordered the chair on Saturday and it's in my home office by Tuesday! This will be a welcome addition to my work from home office.
Great if you like scary movie sounds
The chair was great for about five months before the seat started creaking somewhere around the base plate and stem pole. Every time I got up, sat down or shifted, the seat made awful noises like an old creaky heavy door on a scary movie. Added bonus is the metal-on-metal sound when the ball bearings in the casters roll on each other. I tried every fix that YouTube had with no luck! It was so distracting during online meetings that I bought a new chair and donated this one. It's super pretty and the seat is very comfortable but overall it was a big ol' waste of 250 bucks.
Pretty, comfy, not the best wheels
It looks good and I'm pleased with the seat comfort. I have short legs, so it is rare that I can scoot all the way back in a seat and still bend my knees comfortably. This seat is shallow enough that I can do that, so it helps me have better posture. It feels a little warm (i'm used to cotton), but I guess that's a tradeoff with synthetic fabrics that are easier to clean. One thing I don't like much is the wheels. They look nice but it was very difficult to get them in-- so much so that they didn't all go in evenly. They don't roll with ease when I'm sitting in the chair. Aesthetically, I didn't realize the hardware changed with the seat cover. Just make a note of that if you might prefer wood over the chrome finish (I would have). One of the "chrome" parts is plastic, which I didn't expect on a chair in the $200's.
Good conference room chairs
These are large, sturdy chairs that we use for a conference room. The movement is smooth and easy and the dark gray upholstery is soft and will hide any stains.
Pretty but poor quality
Initially I loved the classy look of this chair. It's very pretty and fairly comfortable, although I did need to get a lumbar cushion for extra support. The chair looks great in a home office that is also a guest room. But after less than 2 months of wear I started finding ball bearings under my desk and realized that they were coming from my chair. 3 of the 5 casters have started losing bearings. I will have to look for better quality casters to replace these. It's disappointing in a brand new chair, which explains the 2 stars. Otherwise, I would have loved it.
Excellent Chair, Excellent Price
This chair is fabulous, got it in the charcoal/gray. It's a soft, velvetty fabric with white threading that shows through the gray. It is incredibly easy to assemble, maybe 10 mins with no special tools required. The height adjuster works simply and effectively. The quality of this chair for the price is really impressive. When I tell people I got it at Walmart they are shocked. See pictured with Pottery Barn rug, looks great!
