I finally have a proper storage block for my knives. No more fumbling in a drawer looking for the right one. I dont plan to have it sitting out on my counter, so the smaller footprint is ideal. I have eight knives of various sizes in it and would have room for one or two more.

Exactly what I wanted in terms of the look and space saving. However, it really is overpriced.

I have not had a chance to actually use this item as it was purchased for a my new residence. Although I have examined the item and it is exactly as described. I have had wooden block holders for my knives and wanted something that was able to be cleaned and would not show wear over time. I am sure it will serve it's purpose and save space on the countertop providing a more elegant look as well. I was not dissapointed and would reccomend ordering this item.
