The grill was damaged during shipping. I contacted Home Depot and Dyna-Glo the damaged parts were replaced and I assembled the grill. The grill works good and seems to be built well.

Easy to assemble. No ash pan but found a heavy duty aluminum foil cookie sheet easy to bend to fit and will get 90% of ash out. Temperature regulation a challenge.

Love everything about! Best investment ever in a grill. My husband loves it so much he loves to grill! You won’t regret it worth every penny!
Dyna-Glo grill
I would say heavy, don't know if I would call it heavy duty. Easy to assemble, I would recommend leaving the legs loose until it's setting up on them, or it will not set level. The grill cooks good, and seems to be a good value for the money.

My husband loves it. It’s not big so it’s easy to move around and the metal is thick and my husband is so excited about that he was worried it would be thin. Overall for the price it is a great deal. So far!

A minor dent on one end but hard to see. This is my third Dyna-Glo Grill. I already have the small side smoker and my son has my original gas grill from Dyna-Glo. Love the product and it is well made.
[Rewarded Review] Very nice Grill
My third Dyna Glo Grill. My first was a Propane gas grill I bought around May 2015. My Son has it now and still uses it. My second Dyna Glo was the DGSS287CB-D Portable Tabletop Charcoal Grill & Side Firebox that I bought 09/18. I still use it today. I now own this grill. Love it except the Dent and scratch in one side. I would have given it 5 stars if not for that. I still recommend.

A little light on the barrel. As listed as heavy duty I'd hoped it would have been a thicker gauge. Easy put together. The access door could have been cut flush to the bottom.
Awesome!
This is an AWESOME bbq. I've been doing charcoal for a decade and a half now... This is a GREAT BBQ. Build it correctly, and learn to use it correctly. Read some tips on creative charcoal burning ideas (ie: make a shape, like an S or a spiral, and you can slow burn your charcoal for more consistent heat and long burning.) This smokes well, and doesn't really need the smoker attachment to do a good job of smoking. I smoke-bbq'd a whole chicken, and the smoke flavour went deep right to the bone!!

This grill is AMAZING! Holds heat well. Has enough space for 6 racks of ribs, 7-8 large steaks. Compact enough for small sized patio/deck. Well constructed, sturdy heavy gauge metal.
Fantastic grill!
This grill is awesome! Let's start at the end result and move backwards... The t bones, rib eyes, beer can chicken, ribs as well as the brats, dogs and burgers came out fantastic. This grill weighs in at 90+ pounds. The heavier the better in my world. I believe this is do to it's heavy gauge steel construction. From the great sealing heavy gauge steel lid, to the barrow itself all the way down to the solid steel axle shaft and nice oversized all steel wheels. No holding these bad boys on with a "push nut" Dyna Glo provides you with nice all steel lock nuts. Easy to assemble. I own other grills, I won't mention names but this is my favorite and is my "go to" grill. 5 out of 5!

Took a while to put together but only cause I did it solo and it was awkward to say the least. Lol I'm 35year old smaller female but I handled it. Cooks amazing but make sure you "season" the grill n read directions before cooking on it. Great buy! Stoked!
[Rewarded Review] No ash pan!
This grill is wonderful, except the fact that it doesn’t have an ASH pan! I simply had to get some sheet metal and fold it into the bottom. Aluminum foil, barely worked. Foil pans were ok too. Other than that... Lovely grill! Great tasting food. The company should tell you that. I was missing SEVERAL parts upon purchase. The store did accommodate me, which is good. Dyna-Glo is careless though...

Smoker and grill combined. I use lump charcoal, Apple wood, hickory etc. Easy start up for a quick burger or two. Great heat and air controls for a long low temp smoke. High heat pizza on a pre heated cast iron pan , slow cook beans, extremely versatile.
[Rewarded Review] Great charcoal grill
This is a great charcoal grill. Very easy to assemble. Doesn't take much space like the previous grill we owned. Keeps the heat within the barrel very well. Grilled some food for the family with it and was very easy to clean up afterwards. It's not as convenient as a propane grill, but the taste of charcoal or hickory briquettes make up for it much more.
[Rewarded Review] Choo Choo BBQ
This is a Dyna-Glo signature series deluxe, A heavy duty no fooling around grill.
[Rewarded Review] very very nice.....
This has to be one of the best Compact Barrel Charcoal Grill i have ever sen. Even better when we put it to use. Very easy to assemble and all hardware is included of course. Very nice dark rich black color send out beautiful vibes, especially when guest are over. Nothing but positive comments from friends and family. Has just the right amount of storage, for us at least. Easy open and easy clean from its swinging doors. Very beautiful smoke stack. Thermometer too! Goes great with most decor. Cant wait to use it again. Just in time for summer!!
[Rewarded Review] Solid and well built charcoal grill
I had the opportunity to evaluate this great little charcoal grill. I first noticed the boxing is impeccable so your grill comes undamaged. The unit is mostly a very easy assembly that takes 15 minutes. When they state it's heavy duty they weren't kidding. This grill is made from very heavy steels and built like a tank.
[Rewarded Review] Heavy, not Heavy Duty
This is an all-steel grill for charcoal only. It weighs about 90 pounds. It is made in China. The main body is 1.5mm sheet steel, which is just under 16 gauge - not what I would consider Heavy Duty, as most standard grills are this thick, and others are a lot thicker. The lid is 2.5mm thick, about 12 gauge, and the handle is made of even thicker steel, making the whole lid weigh over 12 pounds. There is no mechanism to control the opening or closing speed of the lid. The legs are thin tube steel. The wheels are all steel, mounted on a solid steel axle. The grates, both the grilling ones and the ones for the coals, are porcelain coated steel. They are smooth, and after a few grilling sessions, have held up well.
[Rewarded Review] Almost theft proof...
Wow. Here's a family heirloom if you protect it from the weather when not in use. In all of my years, I have only seen grills with this quality and thickness gauge metal, at rib roasts and so on. This grill is very heavy and well designed. With the hinges and other joints welded, with some proper care, it will be the last one you will ever purchase. It's overall size is perfect for the typical home owner. The grates are amazingly thick steel. Plenty of cooking room and an extra large external work station table that is as large around as the grill itself. The product descriptive information on this web site is accurate. I had some minor issues putting this grill together. First was a damaged felt type gasket that goes between the smoker stack and main unit. No biggie. The other concern is that if you follow the very good instructions, it will direct you to install the legs of the grill with the grill itself on end. That's fine, but do not tighten the nuts and bolts down. Just snug them up. If you tighten them down as I did, the legs will not be even and the unit will rock. (see pic) After you flip the grill upright into the normal position, then tighten up the hardware to the legs. My package arrived damage free and had all necessary assembly parts.
