Having used, and worn out, an older propane gas smoker I was looking to a replacement. The electric digital nature of this interested me. I was torn about the glass door vs the solid one but am glad I have the glass. Nice to be able to watch progress. The unit works great. Smoked spare ribs for a birthday on it and they were a hit.

Listen, I grew up knowing, if it ain’t charcoal or fire, it’s just a glorified oven…. But alas responsibilities and family life brought things back to reality. Basically after warming the unit up, it’s set it and forget it. No vents to adjust, no need to wrap anything, no need to add coals . It’s great, smoked meat for half the blood sweat and tears. Love it.

I timed it. It took me exactly 7 minutes to unbox and set this up. And the smoke. My god, man! Where has this been all of my life?

I like the quality of product. It is well made. The ease of the use. I did have to contact customer service. They were quick to respond and resolve my issue. You won’t be disappointed if you buy this.

My smoker arrived with a pretty good sized dent which made the interior visible and vulnerable to water, so I couldn't keep it outside between uses. East Oak provided a cover so my smoker can live outside.

The product was delivered where designed.

The more I use it the more I like it. Going on 4 months and quite a bit of usage. Initially I questioned the accuracy of the internal thermostat and contacted East Oak. They were very receptive and helpful. Very impressed with the company attitude. I recently acquired the EAST OAK smoker stand and just finished assembling it. It is a great addition to the smoker.

I really think that this smoker is excellent. It keeps the temperatures at what you want. Make sure you keep the smoker out of Highwinds. Been using the smoker at least twice a week.

This is great—you simply set the timer and temperature and let it do its thing. The brisket turned out really well! I still need to refine my skills, but the smoker performed exactly as advertised. I highly recommend it for anyone who enjoys smoking meats.

This smoker was easy to set up and use. The digital controls are very easy to understand and set and make the novice cooker seem knowledgable. The recipes on East Oaks site were easy to follow and we enjoyed some awesome brisket a couple of days after it arrived. It is best put on a table or rolling cart so that the top of the smoker is at eye level, but for the price you easily get back the cost with enjoyable meals. The meat temp probe is great, but if would be nice if you could set a temp on the meat probe and the smoker would turn off automatically.

Glass door is useless, would not spend the extra money for the glass

This is one of the best electric smokers out there for the price. Works fantastic. Set it and forget it really. Just check on the meat every now and then and you'll have a no fail smoke out every time. It uses very little wood chips. The only thing I wish it had was maybe bluetooth or wifi but the price will go up, so im ok with that. I've been smoking meat for 15 years, and this is a good one.

Love this smoker. I put an aluminum pan under what I grill to catch whatever. Would have given it 5 stars except the control setup for temp and time are a little confusing; will probably be ok when I get used to it. Have only used it 6 times. One thing at a time, burgers, chicken thighs, and 3 lb. boneless turkey breast.

I purhcased this unit to replace a similar MasterBuilt unit. While I liked my MasterBuilt, it would trip the GFI, causing me to run an extension cord from inside the house to the smoker (both dangerous and not energy efficient). I have a friend who also had the MasterBuilt and he had the same issue. We both recently disposed of our old units.

The smoker is so easy to use, the side chip loader makes adding chips easy and without opening the door no loss of heat. The item arrived, well packaged only thing I had to do was attach a handle to the back- I smoked a large Boston Butt the smoker maintained perfect temperature and the Butt came out great I did follow the seasoning guideline per instructions. very easy to use and well worth the money

I've had two masterbuilts over the last 13 years East Oak is a much better unit smokes very well at lower temperatures however if you're buying this for the remote you're wasting your money the remote does not change the temperature up and down the probe unless you're within 60 ft direct line of sight does not tell you the temperature if you're sitting in your house the signal won't get to you through walls or something like that otherwise I like the chip holder much better than Masterbuilt load up forget it don't have to go out every hour and put chips in the smoker if you buy either one of their models just go out and buy a temperature probe with remote that goes to your house I've got a Thermo Pro works great
