Quality and finish does not hold up

The finish is fading on this unit after a year and a half. Mostly on the top but some slight spot on the one of the drawers as well. From the beginning we only ever dry wiped with a microfiber. The only things sitting on it were accessories like books, a lamp and other decorative pieces. No liquids, no direct sunlight. No kids or pets that could have done anything when we weren't looking. It's just my wife and I. The finish is fading to white and is random throughout the top of it and it just keeps getting worse. We have no idea what's causing it. We're going above and beyond to take care of this very expensive product when we shouldn't have to. I cannot recommend any of their products with this wood and finish. We recently purchased the Asher side table which I want to return now as that's meant to have drinks and things put it on it constantly. I have no confidence in there products and unfortunately Magnolia's help line pushed back a lot and didn't want to help because it's outside their 30 day window. Offering no support or warranty on something this expensive is crazy to me. I'm a reasonable person and asked for the stain to try and fix it myself and they can't help. Their vendor also wouldn't help. Now they are reaching out to the manufacture for help but that will take time. I will update my review if there is a positive conclusion. We own plenty other high end wood furniture like our coffee table, that has shown no aging over the many years we've owned. I know we're not doing anything wrong. We love Magnolia and want to continue supporting them but at this point we've received better support from their competitors of similarly priced furniture and may have to go back to shopping there.
