Jiffy Pot Newbie

Love my 3 inch Jiffy Pots. I like that I can plant pot in the ground or container without disturbing the roots. My Sunflower seeds germinated well and are thriving. This was my first time growing from seed and I am impressed.

I planted some seeds in four of the jiffy pots to see how they would do. They came up in three days. Now, I will just wait until they get a little bigger and plant the flowers in my garden. They worked great.

These pots are terrible. I planted my starts in various containers and flats. Plants in these pots failed to thrive.

These jiffy pots are good for starting seeds of rooting cuttings. I am very happy with them.

Peat pots v. Coconut fiber pots.

Peat pots are the best for starting new plants in. They are some pots on the market made from coconut fiber that look good but they are terrible for setting out new plants in those don't break down, they just stay together and the plant gets bound with coconut fiber, it doesn't break down.

Great product!

Easy to use, these help keep seedlings from drying out. Use as directed, when planted have been " hardened off", plant the whole thing. I usually tear the pot apart a little, not really sure if that has any effect at all.
