Bad and Good

Lasted 37 months and the small crossovers started leaking! Was great to have hot water all the time.... Until we didn't! Started leaking at one of the small vent tubes and quickly progressed! Would not recommend it for reliability.

Perfect Water Heater

I installed this back in May of 2018 and still works like a champ with zero issues and have not done a single maintenance on it. But to be fair I also have a water softener which I'm to assume goes a long way towards preventing limescale build-up.

I previously had this exact water heater for 7 years. I did routine maintenance as I have well water. It lasted a long time considering. I bought the new one and just traded them out. Hopefully I will get another 7 years.

Great product. But I thought I had it installed...

Great product. But I thought I had it installed by a licensed plumber but when I tried to get his number to register he would not get back to me. Years later when it leaked I could not claim warranty. Surprise I purchased same model and replaced myself now that all wiring was reusable. Hope this one last a little longer like 20 years. I believe the electric savings is worth it!!!

I’m a new home builder. The inline flow restrictor is a godsend! I put this unit in ALL the homes I build. All purchasers of my homes rave about it, even years after returning to a home for other issues unrelated to this water heater.

The unit was fairly simple to install as I had an electrician and a plumber do most of the hookup. Heats water very well but if someone turns on the dishwasher it turns cold until it quits using hot water. Not sure what to do about it.

The ECO 36 has been providing adequate amounts of hot water to all 3 bathrooms, kitchen and utility room to date. I have also noticed that my electricity usage has decreased.

Cons: takes. 3 40amp circuits to hook up. Pros: no more not water heater and now I have not water all the time.
