Is it safe to breathe in Polyester fibers?

This type filter is used on our offices air system and we have a lot of fine white dust particles that build up quickly in our office on surfaces like desk, computers and cabinets. When I saw the filter being changed one day it made me think if all the fine white "dust" particles were coming off it and were not regular dust. I thought the filter for our unit would be a pleated type filter that is used is most of the other offices in our building but it was this type filter. Everyone in our office has allergy problems that seem to go away when we are not here. Have any studies been done on these type polyester air filters to see if they are safe to use in air conditioners which supply air to confined office spaces?

Yes it did meet my expectation, and didn’t realized that 25 ft roll was a lot, haha, so I used it for all my AC in the house plus used it for my fans , I added adhesive Velcro to keep the filter In place, the rest I replaced my parents AC , so basically I have no compliant about the product.

AC filter is of good quality at a very reasonable price. It meets my expectation.

External AC filtering

I am using this material to "wrap" window air conditioners. The purpose is to provide an easily removable and washable filter to keep dirt, leaves, cottonwood seeds and other debris from plugging up the condenser coil on my window air conditioners. I used to take the units out every year and remove the covers and wash out the coils. It is time consuming, messy and just a hassle. I secure the filter material with cheap ratchet straps around the AC units. Easy to install and remove, and much easier to just hose off the filter material. You would think manufacturers would have come up with washable filters for the condenser coils of window units. But most people just throw the units away after a couple years because they stop cooling as well, and buy a new one. When the majority of window AC problems are just clogged up condenser coils.
