Absolutely fabulous ironing board for the sewist! I live how the height adjusts. I use it with a Laurastar iron and the iron holder fits my girl perfectly. (I’m a pretty hard sell, believe it or not, but this is just a great board.)

I researched ironing boards (maybe secretly hoping the “right” one might make ironing more enjoyable) and ordered this one per reviews in the NYT Wirecutter. Happy to report it did not disappoint - it’s lightweight and super easy to openclose and adjust the height. I also like that it’s a regular size ironing board, yet is streamlined enough to fit in the narrow space between my dryer and the wall when not in use.

A solid sturdy and steady ironing board with higher adjustable heights suitable for a taller husband, who has no excuse not to iron now. Standard boards seem to be shorter from shopping online, even at a max height. It is also wider across which is great for ironing bed sheets and larger items. We like the colour too.

I set out to find a smallish, inexpensive ironing board, because ironing is something I normally try to avoid, and I don't expect any board of mine will get much use. However, so many ironing boards of this general style and lower prices, sounded pretty flimsy, whereas ratings of this one suggested it would be sturdier. I'm still not thrilled at spending over $100 for something that's no fun, but I'm satisfied that the Brabantia will do the job. I think I'd have been just as happy with the smaller (A) version, but this B, in this color, was a good value.

This ironing board lived up to its top rating! Light, very stable, high quality. Especially liked the locking feature when folded up for storage. Outstanding ironing board at a very reasonable price. Highly recommend.

Love this ironing board

We had our last one for about 20 years and loved all the features that this make has, hence a new one was bought. The are very sturdy. Not sure of the cover colour but that is only minor.

The stability of the board is great.

The extra wide surface is perfect for pressing. Use it extensively while sewing. Love the adjustable height. Lowest is perfect to sit next to my sewing machine to be within easy reach and iron while sitting. Would be perfect for someone wheelchair bound or unable to stand while ironing.

After buying probably five different ironing boards, this one is the only good one.

Probably the best ironing board I have ever owned: well-designed, durable quality, excellent features, easy to open and close to store, heavy duty cover. It was well-packaged and arrived in perfect condition. Have had it for over 2 months now and it will likely be the last ironing board I ever buy. Brabantia exceeded my expectations!

Outstanding, substantial, sturdy ironing board. And attractive! The tropical pad is so cute, I hung it on the wall, and it looks like a surfboard! Quite pleased!

An ironing board for someone with passion of crips shirts

A bit wide and bulky. You need more space than the normal ironing boards - but definitely a heavy weight.

Metal on the actual ironing part is bent in two places. Cannot push it into place. Returning is a hassle. Lesson learned. I'm sure it's fabulous if it arrives in good condition. We live in Ohio. Having something arrive from California tends to be a disaster 1/2 the time. I'm using it, but not thrilled with what this costs and I can't iron quilt tops, yardage flat. Last purchase.

I am in love with this ironing board. It is stable. No wiggling. Just what you want with a hot iron in hand. The iron has it's own nest. It folds up great in a regular size hall closet. And it looks good. My fav ironing board ever.

The metal mesh on the top is warped and results in a huge lump in the board. It is impossible to iron anything. Brabantia has not responded to my email in a week asking for a remedy. For the price, this is so incredibly disappointing. I'll have to return it to the store and due to the hassle I don't think I'll gamble on another Brabatia.

It’s a bit heavier than expected but it is not unwieldy and it stays put with no bobbling or shimmying. The board size is wide so what’s being ironed doesn’t have to be moved as much. The iron rest is a welcome addition. Overall, I wish I had upgraded sooner.

This is the best ironing board I’ve ever seen. It is so sturdy, it could be used for a scaffold. I especially like the large surface area compared to the average board. The stand for the iron is sturdy and works from either side. I would recommend this board.

Is not balanced. Bought to replace old ironing board that was bent/worn and wobbly, this one was wobbly right out of the box. Was planning on returning but waited too long and now stuck with a wobbly ironing board.

Wow, I didnt think Id ever rate an ironing board 5 stars, but here we are. I replaced an old discount store ironing board. I hate ironing, and I am sure that board didnt help the situation. But this one is so much better. From rickety to solid. From fighting to keep the cover in place to it just fitting perfectly. I still hate ironing, but its not because of the board!

GET. IT. QUALITY VERY GREAT. Unbelievable. The most sturdy on the planet. So adjustable. Feels and looks aesthetically HEAVENLY. So sturdy, I can't even believe it.
