This Maxi Rack looks great in my dining area. It has a lot of storage space and is perfect for a small space. This is not an easy assembly so patience is needed but worth it. I loved it so much I recommended it to a family member!
Flimsy! I have put together many different shelving units over the years. This was by far the biggest pain and required a lot of modifications to make the parts actually fit together. And I don’t dare set anything remotely heavier on any shelf as I wouldn’t trust it to hold.
I’ve had these shelves for over six months now and they do not hold much weight, never mind the weight they state in the description! I even weighed my shelf contents because it was so ridiculous, 67lbs. Shelf capacity is rated at 800lbs… Shelves sag horribly even with good distribution of weight and are very thin material. I am going to upgrade the shelves themselves and install supports. The frame is decent and a nice color. Easy to assemble.
Had some delivery delays and the boxes turned up a couple days later in ROUGH shape, but luckily all the pieces were there and I really love the finished shelves. My dad and I put 2 of them together in ~1.5 hrs, and only because we had to flip around a couple of pieces. We chose not to install the very top shelf so that I could stack a double layer of bins. Agree with other reviewers who say the particle board shelf bottoms are not the best quality. I almost wrote in to Customer Service to request at least 2 replacement boards, since the corners were broken off, but it ended up being fine. I wouldn't put these anywhere you might get moisture, since that would definitely ruin them.
I have so many of these. They are perfect in our storage room and garage. So easy to put together and the hold an amazing amount of stuff. We took an extra one and instead of building it to full height, we made to short ones side by side in our basement. We filled it with the kids larger toys. The height allows them to reach everything and it cleaned up the mess of these big items covering the floor.
The side bars could be made a little thicker so the shelf is more stable if you want to make the bottom shelf higher off the ground in order to place storage on the floor underneath the shelf. If you put the bottom shelf exactly as pictured shelf is very sturdy if you raise it up in order to store things on the floor underneath it it will definitely buckle under the approved weight limits.
One of the worst product i have ever bought. This is very cheap quality product when we put a box the plywood came down. Assembly instruction came torned out inside the packaging plus it is very poor and complex assembly. The packaging was so bad that it hurt me when i was moving the product inside the house. It was very dirty box and so tightly packed that materials were worn out plus there was no wrap or bubble wrap used for packaging. The plywood came broken as well.
Shelves are ok. 2 of the shelves were damaged in the box from delivery because there is no padding around the corners of the box. The shelves are pretty to assemble, just expect some of the corners to break when trying to put the shelves in place. Some of the shelves, which are only 1/4” particle board, seem to be slightly bigger, causing the corners to break when trying to push them in place. You get what you pay for. I am happy with them, just wish a little better quality.
I love the shelves. They are really solid and the shelving boards are sturdy. The assembly was a bit tricky when I go to putting the upright pieces together. However, each set only took about 10 min total to assemble. I bought 3 sets of shelves. Because they are 24 inches deep and 72 inches high the were able to hold lots of stuff.
Definitely works for what we need it to do—be careful on assembly. The pieces go certain ways and if you don’t line them up right, you have to take down and redo them. It’s also a little dangerous for pinching hands upon assembly, so send the kiddos somewhere else while you do it. Works for the basement storage, no complaints other than a couple missing parts. We ended up using what we had in our own tool box, but it wasn’t ideal.
I have multiple Gladiator EZ Connect shelves which I absolutely love, and I needed another. However, given massive price increases on that brand, I opted for this one which was more affordable. IMO this pales in comparison to the Gladiator brand. It’s all about perspective, so I understand why some say this is great. My main issues 1) manufactured wood shelves are easily dinged, 2) the coupling pieces only fit as expected on 1 of 4 corners and the others I had to manipulate the shape with a hammer to get to fit in. Otherwise, it’s sturdy and does it’s job.
BUY ANY OTHER SHELF ON THE MARKET!
I put together products all the time. This was the WORST to put together. You'll need at least one other person to help you assemble it. Plus it is rickety when put together. Forget the instructions: they're incomprehensible and written in 3 pt type. I don't want to relive the nightmare by describing the frustration. The main issue is linking the pieces together, they are wobbly, and don't fit correctly. If you get this, make sure you have a rubber mallet. Otherwise, you'll have to beat the shiit out of it to get all the pieces to connect. After a combination of 4 hours,I got it together, I'm not returning it bc of the nightmare taking it apart. I had to use zip ties to secure parts of it. Get any other shelf. I started go deeper in detail but, realized I don't want to think about this product. Poor quality. t
Don't make it tall put it side by side
iit was extremely hard to put the post together to connect the top and bottom post. The tabs that were supposed to slide down into the slots on the sides would not go down when the two post were together. When only one post was involved the tabs would slide down easily but when we put the top post to the bottom post to connect the top with the bottom the tabs would not go in. It was almost impossible to them together. We ended up using a hammer and pounding them down which made the shelves not level. But the shelves are nice sturdy shelves. Just wish I had the space to made them length wise and not stack them. The problem only came when we connected the top to the bottom.
Lamp is very sturdy, and looks pretty good for this price range. Putting it together was a little challenging, but I was able to complete it by myself.
I like it. Most people probably wouldn't because it's in a corner of my living room, which is not a place for this style of shelving. One thing I became aware of is it's very hard to move once it's been assembled. You get one or the other: ease of assembly (present) or easy relocation (absent). The assembly is: slide the posts into the corresponding slots. which is fine when gravity can do its work. NOT so fine if you want to lift the thing. However, since it's in a corner not many people will notice. If ever anyone is able to visit.
