The toilet seat turns yellow.

I bought two of these automatic toilets. At first everything was wonderful and I thought I had made a great investment and after a few months I noticed that the toilet seat was turning yellow and there was no way to buy a replacement for the toilet seat, just the lid. I got in touch and they told me to use the Kohler product (which didn't help). Now I noticed that the toilet in the guest room that is rarely used is turning yellow too. Anyway, there is no replacement for that seat and now I have to accept that I spent more than 10 k on two toilets that are yellow and look disgusting. I don't recommend it at all.. Kohler should offer the toilet seat replacement option and not just the lid option, this is unacceptable!!!!!!

This is not a review of the toilet. This is a review of Lowes and their promise to deliver this toilet to me in 5 days. I bought two of these based on the delivery time frame and eagerly awaited the delivery of my fancy toilets. On delivery day I hear nothing. The next morning I call the store and leave a message and again hear nothing. The next morning I call in and a service rep does call me back and let me know "an IT issue is preventing them from checking the toilets out of inventory" and because they cant check them out, they cant give them to me or deliver. They escalated to corporate. Days later still not resolved. I've cancelled the order and gone with another slower supplier. DO NOT TRUST LOWES DELIVERY TIMEFRAMES. Just go with a larger national distributor.

Broken part. Unable to install.

Came broken. Waiting for replacement part. Ask me again in a month.

Leak

Purchased 1 month ago for new addition, and just put in. Unfortunately there is water leakage per my contractor in the upper portion of unit. Appears to be a manufacturing problem. So, need to return and will order and try one again. Wait to see if we have problems with the new one.

Really like. Not in love with it yet - $5k+ love it is not. Could be faster in 'next steps', i.e. switching from front to rear rinsing. Not sure that it actually deodorizes as it says either.

Loses on This One Feature

We have this toilet in our main bath and Toto’s in a couple of others. If the dryer function is important to you, it’s such poor quality on this toilet that it might as well not be a feature. It’s not a huge issue for us but we did pay almost $6,000 for a toilet so it would be nice if it worked as advertised. Other than the drying fan, the EIR has superior comfort, water sprays, looks, automatic flushing and open/close lid.

Intelligent toilet, happy birthday to me.

Have been shopping for intelligent toilets and very happy to have found this option. Very pleased with functionality and appearance. Overall have been very happy with purchase.

It’s been installed for almost 2 months now and so far, it’s been working outstandingly. Easy to use and set up. No regrets yet

At least as good as advertised

We bought one a couple of years ago when it was a new model as a test to see if we'd like it before committing to Kohler smart toilets in an upcoming remodel.

Two of them working flawlessly...as they should

We used bidet toilets in Europe and upon return to the States, ordered two. Most have covered the main features but I'll add a few truly niceties: Nightlight (amazing that it's so beneficial. Pre-spray: I really don't 'clean' the toilet like I once did. Deodorizer. I didn't believe it would actually work...but yeah, a true embarrassment saver. Auto-flush. This is a nearly no-touch event (save from touching the remote for the desired effect (also a flawless interface with the toilet). I'm about to install a third because as others have said, a bidet is a must-have and this Kohler just steps up about 10 notches from anything out there.

Purchased a few of these , and I like the features

Looks great but not as functional as Japanese brands.

I brought Eir. Love the design of the toilet and position of the seat. But trying to setup auto flush, sensor levels and other features. There’s not one video on YouTube nor Kohler’s website. The have amazing videos that tells you nothing about the feature setting. The owner guide just tells you about the buttons. Really hope Koehler can explain more in the owners guide or get someone to explain with a video.

remote has problems

The remote has no way to adjust the contrast (per Kohler support) and is not readable in most lighting situations. Also buttons require multiple pushes to work. Very poor design.

Love my Potty

Our Eir is the most popular seat in the house. The seat warmer is refreshing and the flush and massage functions are marvelous. The Eir toilet also adds to the elegance of the room.

Kohler Eir

We’ve had the top end Toto Washlet for years, but this is quite a step up. Programming is tricky at first, but easy once you figure it out. Looks great in our home, and we love everything about it. This is the newest version, an improvement over the Veil.
