beautiful medallion BUT inaccurate size description

Product description says it fits canopies of up to 9 7/8. However the inner square only fits canopies of about 6 7/8 inches. Any bigger and the canopy will site over the lip of the inner square, leaving a huge distance for your mounting screws to reach your mounting bracket. Now I need to head to a hardware store to try to find some extra long screws to make it work. Also the medallion came with a couple of dings on it and it scuffs dings VERY easily.

Visually dominatant medallion

I painted this medallion oil rubbed bronze on the perimeter and the inside ring dark hammered bronze and it is awesome! Perfect solution for Lineage line of chandeliers with square escutcheons.

Good looking

I ordered this medallion to serve as a skirt around the spot my oven hood enters the ceiling. We had to make the opening in the center larger to fit around the hood pipe. It worked out perfectly. It gives just the right extra something or an otherwise bland space.

Wish it had worked out

Wish the color has been more like the description.Warm silver was more like pink gold.The style and shape is what I was after and would have painted, but sadly the size was too small.Regretfully returned.

looks good and easy to cut

Ok I used this to install a bathroom fan that was square in a round hole.....LOL my old fan quit and the replacement i purchased was smaller leaving me a Sheetrock repair that i just didn't want to do.I cut out the middle with a box cutter knife that fit my new fan.....the size of this covered the hole so i saved a lot of dust and work making the ceiling look right and this gives the new fan a high end look....... how this is helpful to somebody

Hanging Chandelier

In hanging a new high dollar chandelier (wives purchase) the existing electrical box was not aligning to her satisfaction with the table below. So, move box? No! Too much work for 70 year old, now 77. Medallion would cover hole and allow me to adjust position without moving box. And it looked great with the chandelier! John I Smith
