Bracket not as advertised

I need to trim this item as it is about a quarter inch too wide. I specifically purchased it because it said it was solid not hollow in the questions. I was dismayed to find only 1/2 inch outer walls. Sure hoping that I can trim one side by a saw width.

This product is not solid. You can’t use it to support anything it is only decorative. I had to buy brackets to go under the corbel. I like the looks of it, it just wasn’t as described.

Does the job intended

We needed to cover brackets holding our DIY 8ft flower box. These corbels were perfect. They are modern looking (in keeping with the house and decor) and are a great way to hide the brackets. DO NOT use them to hold anything up. They are not at all strong enough to hold weight.

Watch the measurements

Nice bracket, quick delivery, but the width was actually 3/8" wider than the 5 inches, which required some minor adjustments for this particular job. In most cases this wouldn't cause a problem, but you'd think an item from an architectural focus would have precise measurements.
