Not what we expected

We installed this door expecting it to be higher quality than the one we got from Lowes for our basement remodel. We should have just purchased another one.... this Kohler Slid9ng door has rubber/plastic gaskets that look super tacky... not high quality. Difficult to install is an understatement. It will serve its purpose but I regret buying it. I would consider tearing it out and installing something better ....

Beautiful looking shower door

This shower door looks amazing in our bathroom. Install was a bit tricky but after watching a YouTube video it help clear up some things. Definitely a 2 person job and it took about 4 hours to install, probably should have taken 2.5 but we double and tripled checked measurements.

Nice looking unit, the doors are heavy. Need something different to line up top rail with base, the seal used is to flexible. Other than that would recommend.

Very unhappy . We waited for 3 months for this door because it was back ordered. We trusted because it was made by Kholer it was going to be good quality. The grille pattern is nothing but strip of black tape, a sticker. Don’t like the looks of it.

Great looking door, but my problem is with the instructions. I used the flimsy "wall seal" as the template for the height as per the instructions, then put the drilling template on top of that to mark the holes, then later when I sat the fixed door into place, the header was too low! Use the spec sheet available online to get the exact header height and verify your height. I'm handy and have done shower doors in the past (okay, a long time ago) and the one thing I didn't want was holes in the wrong place that would show...and it happened. I want to give it a one star for that but I like Kohler and have used them a lot. Kohler would be better off just providing the distance from base to where the holes should be, at least as a double check/verification process. The hole placement is everything for this door.

Shower enclosure

Materials indicate that slider can be either right or left depending on your bathroom configuration. I assumed that it mean where the toilet or vanity was....they didn't say anything about shower head location. Installation for my carpenter was to put on the same side as shower head...well that's right in front of the toilet so not good. Kohler is sending replacement parts so carpenter can reverse....who's paying for that one.

Great product. Customers love it. Install is forgiving. Love the spring loaded guide. Just enough staff to keep door from rolling if your sill/header isn’t level. Koehler customer service is top notch. We had some damaged parts we discovered at time of install. One phone call and all parts were on site in a week. Koehler is my go to for shower doors.

Make sure shower head is on the side of the sliding panel if you purchase this item

This is a nice quality product. However, we purchased it for a very tight/small bathroom. Unfortunately, the shower head is on the side of the non-moving glass panel. We could not have the sliding panel on the shower head side because the toilet was too close to the shower, so not a good entry way. With the sliding panel on the opposite end, one has to literally enter the shower completely to turn on the faucet. It's a deal breaker. If I had realized this from the start I NEVER would have purchased this product for the job.

Good Quality

The product is a good quality. The instruction manual is detailed and I carefully followed all the installation instructions, which made the installation go very well. It all fit together well.

The glass is solid and heavy however I doubt the hardware used to holding everything together will last very long. There are too many plastic elements and not enough parts being screwed in place. The instructions lack true clarity and precision. I simply don't feel the hardware is durable and may become unsafe over the years. I don't want the heavy glass to fall on anyone. I eventually had to hire an experienced handyman to install this product and even he agreed that the assembly instructions and hardware are subpar. Heavy glass secured with questionable hardware, no thanks!

[Rewarded Review] Elegant and beautiful

I am very happy with this Elate sliding shower door. Installation was very easy. It did not take us long at all. It did take 2 people to complete the Installation but with following step by step instructions that were very easy to read and understand made it very easy for us. The shower door is amazing. The quality is definitely top of the line with thick durable glass. The design brings life and elegance to my Restroom. I really love the easy and smooth slide when opening and closing the door. It is very easy to clean as well. I am definitely adding more to the rest of the restrooms in my home. I recommend it 100%. Excellent choice.
