Still trying to decide. Just sent details about the problems..damaged box and open on arrival. Coffee grind residue inside (clearly used). Coffee bean compartment gets filled with steam. Coffee was good though.

Coffee Bean Grinder

I love strong coffee. The only thing that prevented me from giving this a 5 out of 5 review is that the grinder does not hold enough beans to make a full pot of good, strong coffee. Otherwise, its great.

Great replacement

I needed a new cuisinart coffee maker. I saw this had the grind function and decided to check it out. I haven’t used the function yet but the coffee maker is great so far. Nice and hot.

I’ve had this product for 3 years and used it almost every day. It’s works great for the price and I utilize the grinder almost exclusively. I will say the the grinding needs to be as dry as possible and is not the most even but it saves a lot of time to doing it separately. If you want a good, classic, cup of Joe this is the product for you.

Best Coffee Maker Ever

I had the predecessor to the DGB-400 Grind and Brew. It was a pretty good coffee maker and I had it for about 10 years before it finally started leaking on the counter. So, I bought the DGB-400. There were a few improvements. First, it is much easier to program, and it is easier to set up and use. One thing I love about the new model is that I can pour the water into the tank from the front rather than the side. But the best thing about the new model is that the coffee tastes so much better. My wife and I both noticed how much better the coffee tastes even though were are still using the same beans we used with the old coffee maker. I set it to grind and brew at 5:00 am, and it is very faithful. My coffee is always ready and it is good. The new model is easier to keep clean also. I would definitely recommend this model to a friend, and the price is right. I was going to buy a few extra parts (such as the grinder and grinder lid) so I can rinse them out and put them in the dishwasher, but after researching prices, I decided it would be just as cheap to buy an additional DGB-400 and use some of the parts from it. In the event my new coffee maker has a problem, I have everything I need on hand already.

It works beautifully and efficiently for both whole beans and ground. It's fast and the instruction book is quite thorough but easily read and followed. I'm enjoying it immensely!

grind and brew

overall the coffee maker works well, but the grinder needs some changes. it won't grind enough beans for a 12 cup pot, and if you use the top limit it all gets stuck in the top cover and doesn't make it to the filter basket. i think the grinder needs to be deeper and larger.

I’ve been using this for about three months now. This coffee maker is only so so. The built in coffee grinder seems like a good idea. Unfortunately it doesn’t grind the coffee fine enough for a rich/dark pot of coffee. Trying to find the right amount of coffee to put in the filter is also a challenge. Too little and the coffee is really weak. Too much and the filter overflows and you get a pot full of grounds. Carafe doesn’t pour well either. It does make a hot pot of coffee. So many don’t heat the water enough. If I was to start over, I would have bought something different.

Coffee pot leaks everywhere when you pour the coffee. It is loud. Coffee is weak even using strong coffee beans because you can’t fit very many beans in the container. Terrible product.

We’ve only used the coffeemaker a handful of times but we are very pleased. I am a clean freak and I appreciate being able to rinse it out after each use and start a really fresh pot every time. Coffee tastes delicious and quality coffeemaker.

Fresh ground coffee

So easy to use. I love grinding my own coffee beans and in no time I have a fresh pot of coffee from fresh ground beans. Simple design and straightforward display. Easy to clean machine and attachments.

It is for yrun coffee lover

I need to drink at least 3 cups of coffee every day, and I am tired of K-cups and instant coffee. This Coffee Maker makes my coffee life much easier. It is fully automatic, so the operation is easy. just one click and the coffee is there. AMAZING!

It’s just the Best coffee maker on the market!

I had a Cuisinart coffee maker for over 15 years that was almost identical to my new purchase. I love the fact that you have not made changes to this model as it WORKS! I know I can rely on it for years to come. Perfection!!!

I bought this and went on vacation for 3 weeks. So today I tried to set it up. This is a nice looking coffee maker, but it is a stinker to use. I read the manual and it says see drawing on page 6 and there is no drawing and other bad info like this. It was difficult to program. I am going to return it and look for an easier to use coffee maker. But they don’t refund after 30 days. I give it 1 star because it is hard to program with an owners manual that has bogus directions. And after years of buying things, I am done with them because I am stuck with a coffee maker I can’t use.

Not that great

I like that it has multiple options but there are some flaws. It is very loud to use while everyone is sleeping in the morning. Requires to be cleaned between every use with the grinder. It also makes quite the mess. And the grinder should allow for more beans. Not a big fan of this coffee maker

Great but one problem

I have had 4 of this model. They are great. My only complaint is on the new one, it leaks from the carafe onto my counter or mug when pouring. I’ve tried to hole the plastic top, but it still drips.

Good but Pricy for Issues

This is a decent coffee maker but with a few issues. The filter holser is hard to secure and if u don’t put it in perfectly it falls out and coffee grounds spill. Also have to remember to turn off grind and cups before brewing . Lastly the area where u grind even if u don't grind has condensation and stays wet until u wipe it out …. never dries. Should be less money

Excellent coffee machine with one design flaw

This is our 3rd version of this coffee machine in about 25 years (we are creatures of habit and love the grinding of beans/set the timer/come out to brewed coffee in the morning philosophy). However, we do NOT like the basket holder being attached to the basket holding lid. It's very cumbersome to clean and feels like it will easily break or snap off. The previous design, where it was two separate pieces was MUCH better. We wonder if Cuisinart can modify this and send the modified parts to us, as there is a 2 year warranty.

Quality brand, quality product. A very nice build and what I strongly consider value for cost. Easy directions to follow, easy to use, easy to keep clean. The grinder feature, with a bit of experimentation, works flawlessly, even if the sonic expression of same perhaps opens a rift in space and time at decibel levels early-risers might find annoying even after enjoying their first cup. Still, 5 stars.
