2nd time around

I had a Nixplay frame that was given to me as a Christmas gift 5 years ago. It stopped working and was beyond warranty. After contacting Nixplay and dealing with a service tech, who was very nice, I was given to the warranty section. Since it was out of warranty, I was given a 50%off coupon to purchase another frame. I am very happy with the new frame.

New Frame, same problems

Our first frame worked beautifully for several years then earlier this year the screen started going black. Numerous emails w/support troubleshooting never worked & was told I need to order a new frame as thiat one was out of warranty. Ordered the new frame and just a few days later the same thing g is happening. It goes black & when I tap the screen sometimes it says videos downloading then will play those few then go black again. It happened four times again yesterday while I was sitting at the table. No reason and so disappointing. This began when a new software was pushed through Feb/March and seems to affect both old and new frames. It’s heartbreaking as my mom loved this frame & all the memories she could revisit but it’s such a frustrating pain to try & get it reworking. I wouldn’t recommend spending this much for a frame that works intermittently.

The Much Too Small Frame

For several years, I had a 12.1 Nixplay frame. I liked it very much but it recently stopped working. I then ordered the 10.1 frame to replace it because it was the largest frame available. The 15.1 was out of stock. I found the 10.1 frame extremely difficult to install. It took me several hours to install and connect; and when I finally got the 10.1 frame working, I was very upset to see that the picture was VERY SMALL. I decided to replace the 10.1 frame; and I was glad to see that the 15.1 frame was back in stock so I ordered it. I then packed up the 10.1 frame and returned it to Nixplay. I hope I don't have to pay the postage to return it because the image on the 10.1 frame is much more than two inches smaller than the image on my 12.1 frame. The 15.l frame arrived today ;and it was much easier to install than the 10.1 frame. The images on the 15.1 frame are very clear and much bigger than the images on the 10.1 frame but the vertical images are not as big as the images were on my old 12.1 frame. I'm sorry you discontinued the 12.1 frame. I do enjoy being able to run the 15.1 frame by touching the screen, instead of having to use a remote. Thank You!

I LOVE my frame. I had an 8 inch before I definitely recommend the 10 inch. I was going to get the 15, but it was out of stock. I also bought the $50 upgrade. I love listening to my grandchildren with the 2 minute videos

Low standards

We have one 15” Frame that is Formatted with 4:3 ratio And it is really perfect for viewing all the photos you take on your phone in default mode ratio. Unfortunately, nixplay no longer sells these frames in the US and they can only be ordered in Canada.

Let me start by mentioning two things, first I work as a caregiver and commonly see digital frames in the residences of my patients and we have parents that are now octogenarians themselves. This is probably one of the greatest gifts that can be given, handsdown.

Very nice frame.

I really enjoy this frame. It looks classy, and it always displays our pictures perfectly, regardless of their orientation or aspect ratio. There’s a good amount of control over the settings, and I love that it has a touchscreen so that there’s no remote control to keep track of (lose). The experience of uploading photos to the frame from the website portal is pretty smooth as well.

Doesn't Really Work as Advertised

This is my third Nixplay frame. The best part of this new frame is that IT HAS A STAND! The previous two frames only had that stiff wire, and I must say, I'm surprised you still push that product as it is quite worthless in keeping the frame positioned the way you want it. Regarding my new frame (and this critique goes with the previous two frames as well), but there are still way too many pictures that are displayed and are not properly oriented. It is kind of a joke to have tilt your head 90 degrees to look at some of the photos that pop up. And yes, my uploads are all properly oriented at time of upload. I would just think your software (by now) would properly orient all photos. Kind of a big disappointment, especially because your frames are way more expensive than the competition. I will venture to say that this will probably be my last Nixplay frame.

Personalized gift for Grandparents

Nixplay digital frame was the perfect Christmas gift for both sets of Grandparents. They absolutely loved seeing pictures of their grandkids and group family photos from their home. What a great personalized gift. Setup was very easy and convenient for all family members to contribute and send photos to the frame.

A perfect gift for grandparents

My mom loves pictures of her kids ans grandkids. She always asking for new picturea and buying more frames or swapping out pictures in her existing frames. This concept of a digital frame where others could just send pictures to her seemed like the perfect solution. But there was one concern: was it eastly for her to set it up on her own. In my research, despite a steep price (that still seemed in line with other options) this frame seemed like the best fit. The touch of gold added a nice bit of class to it too!
