Poor Quality

Sadly, these are very poorly made and cheap quality. The carved part of the shelf is particle board, not wood. Additionally, my shelves arrived broken. There are "stapled" together and do not hold up. See photos.

I was excited to receive these but they arrived already broken and were made of very cheap material. My guess is if you tried to put anything on them as a shelf, it would fall apart. I returned immediately.

LOOK ELSEWHERE!!!

This item looks good, but that is it! It only appears nice. I ordered 2 sets of these shelves. I excitedly awaited the arrival. Unfortunately, both sets arrived with the longest shelf broken right out of the box. The quality is very poor, and I would not feel comfortable sitting anything on the shelf when it is mounted. The wood is about as wide as plywood. I was extremely disappointed, and this item is ridiculously overpriced! I could fix the shelf myself, but the quality of the shelf does not justify doing so!! In this case, you definitely do NOT get what you paid for!

The shelves look great, but I had to glue and repair 2 of the 3 shelves. They were damaged during shipping. The staples were not straight enough to be reused either so I bought some L brackets to attach the top and sides of the shelves and also added some glue. The paint was damaged as well so I had to repaint the areas that were chipped. I tried to contact the service center with the number given in the return email, but was never able to get a hold of a representative, so I fixed them instead of returning them.

yes these seem quite nice I have not mounted them yet and I hope it goes well, BB&B's quality on some of the products has been questionable

Carved shelves

I was pleasantly surprised when I received these shelves. They were extremely well packed and came ahead of time in perfect condition. Will look beautiful when I get them up.

The shelves are beautiful. Unfortunately I had 2 damaged. One the wood was busted completely and was not an secured to the top and sides (basically came in 3 pieces) and the another the top and sides were not connected, it looks poorly made for as much as it costs. The only thing keeping it together seems to be glue. But I'm hoping the exchange for a different set are better, I do really like the look. The return/exchange process was very easy.

Charming and adds character

These are charming based on the old fashioned style carving. Adds character to a wall in a modern house. Only reason I give 4 stars is due to the fact the back bracket with the opening for the screws to affix to the wall appear to be glued on. Not sure if factory nailed that support to the shelf on the inside to firmly attach to shelf.

They are ok if not broken

The shelves came in bubble wrap. However the box was too large and they were moving around and the large shelf came apart. Rather than waiting for another set and seeing if they were ok or not I’m trying to fix it myself. We like the look just the workmanship is not good, they are put together with nails a little larger than a hair and glue.

Great shelves

We ordered these shelves for our daughter and her new home. They are absolutely beautiful! Of course made from MDF but well made and really pretty to the eye. Same kind of pricing as Hobby Lobby etc., good deal! Very happy!

Shelves

I ordered these online and one of the shelves arrived damaged so my husband had to glue it back together. The top and sides seem to be wood but the decorative front seems to be some kind of fake wood. They are very pretty but for the price I did expect more. They seemed to busy to go with my decor once I got them so I haven’t put them all up yet except for the largest one in my bathroom.

Lovely looking shelves

Beautiful shelves. I ordered 2 sets. One set was fine when delivered but the second set was damaged. Rather then jump through hoops to return them, my husband made repairs and put them back together. That is the reason for three stars. The shelves look lovely on the wall and I am very happy with them.

Strong and easy to put up.

The shelves are strong and stable. Can be used in several places of the house such as the living room, dining, bedroom, laundry room and even in the garage.
