Has a much wider edge than show in the picture. The edge is over an inch wide. But it is ok. Has a soft rubber back so it doesn't slide around. It stays where you put it.

I needed an extra large mat to cover an area of very worn and gravelly cement just outside my back door. Besides being just the right size, this mat is well made, solid, easy on bare feet and very attractive!

The mat is sturdy, fairly soft to step on in bare feet, and looks good. However, the jute-like material has already frayed a bit. I snipped some off with scissors so it wouldn't stick out. I don't walk on it that much so curious what it will look like in a year.
