Beautiful Wine Goblets

Lismore is beautiful and sparkling.

This item was clearly what is termed as a second.

Although there were two quality control slips from two different packers, the glass was in crumpled Waterford tissue paper, there was no Waterford sticker on the glass, and the glass had a highly visible, large air bubble within it.

What I wanted

I had gotten my daughter a set of goblets for her wedding, almost 30 years ago. One of them inadvertently got broken at Thanksgiving and she was crying because they were from Dad. I wanted to get her a new set for Christmas. These were just what I wanted. Both sets were from Waterford. They arrived on schedule and in perfect condition.

I am delighted with these beautiful Waterford crystal goblets that we primarily use as wine glasses. Lismore is my favorite Waterford design and the pictures don't do it justice! I look forward to building on our collection over time.

Lismore Tall Wine

I purchased sets of both the Claret and Goblet stemware. They are beautiful! The goblet is an especially beautiful glass. I love the "Tall" because of the cut where the stem meets the base of the glass bowl. Because of their weight, all of the Waterford glasses feel substantial when you hold them.

Waterford is always gorgeous

I had chipped the rim on one in my set, so this easily replaced it. I use the Lismore Tall Water Goblets for wine. Always have. They are lovely!

Quintessential Crystal

We registered for the "Lismore Tall" stemware: 12 goblets, fluets, wine and iced beverage. We received most of our wine glasses and a few of the other pieces. The crystal is intricate and equisite, what I would call quintessential Irish crystal. It is the type of stemware that will be handed down for generations. I preferred the taller style to the traditional Lismore and it fits well in our cabinets. My only complaint is that it is now not made in Ireland. Several of our guests bought in-store rather than online to ensure that we received real Irish crystal rather than Eastern European crystal. I look forward to collecting the other pieces.

Elegant stemware

This is a beautiful pattern, and the "tall" version provides larger capacity. The wine glasses (just in general for crystal patterns, not necessarily these) are very small, so I am using actual wine glasses (i.e. Riedel) instead of crystal, but the goblets and champagne flutes are functional, as well as beautiful and classic.
