False advertisement.

This item lead me to believe all I would have to do is hang it up after pulling it out of the box. You have to purchase another part that will require tools to connect the wires an electrical cord before you can even plug it in.

Wonderful Pendant Light

I purchased this fixture for our small dining room. It is very attractive, especially with the recommended Bulbrite 616272 light bulb which provides daylight spectrum illumination. I installed a dimmer switch also, which allows for dramatic adjustment to the illumination. A birthday cake with candles can be enjoyed without making the room completely dark. The glass shade is ribbed and the aforementioned light bulb casts rays onto the ceiling. It is quite attractive and a real bargain. I highly recommend it.
