Can't express how pleased I am with this piece. It fills a long wall in a small living room beautifully. I was worried about the "aged" black color description but should not have been. It is made to look on the rustic side but it fits well within my quite formal setting. It would have been equally beautifully in our family room. It did take 1:30 hours for assembly done by a man who does this for a local store full time. The holes for the middle shelf were not correctly placed according to him. Note that my decor is an assembly of items from the house and not the final choices. Deciding also between a one lamp or two lamp placement.

Very well built. I was concerned about the stressed black finish, but the distressed look was very faint. The cherry end tables I have and the distressed black finish blends very well. The shelf is very sturdy. The piece was very easy to assemble. Very happy with my purchase.

The table is nice big heavy. It came with a manufacturers defect, which Im sure Birchlane will replace the part. If they do Ill be 100 pleased.
This is just what we needed for our large TV. It was the perfect height and size.
