The gold plating appears to be scratched and peeling in several areas on the upper and lower frame. I did not assemble the table, since I will return it. Table not recommended.

I wish this coffee table looked like the pictures. I was really excited about it, but it looks really cheap. The gold flakes off onto my rug, and you can see the brush strokes on the paint. Disappointed.
