Broken pieces

Ordered 12 bins overall - 3 4-packs. Received them together in 3 boxes. 2 of the 3 boxes contained broken parts - one of the clasps has a broken pin, and one of the lids is broken. Need to find method of getting refund or replacement (preferable).

1 tote in 1st order arrived cracked and another had some handles popped off. Returned and ordered a 2nd 4 pack which we just used for moving and storing in garage in humid FL. Nearly every handle popped off when moving and stacking these totes so not confident in weatherproof ability. Wish we could return. This must be the reason they are half the price of Container Store totes.

Good Product... Terrible Shipping

The containers were exactly wht I needed. However they just throw them into a box and send them on their way. No wrap or protection caused 3 of 4 lids to be broken and all the broken pieces were in the box. Very disappointed.

great size, sturdy but one missing handle

second set ordered, so the item is good size and very sturdy, I like the item, but one box is missing a blue handle. so this is less likely to be waterproof. but this is the 2nd group ordered, and 1st group was fine.

like i said before, every single container was damaged in some way. the way they were packed and the insufficient level of protection that was provided were not compatible with the rough handling of fedex maybe? i’m not going to return them. they’re too big and it’s too much of a hassle. but i’m unlikely to order them again from here.

The totes seem sturdy and close well (not sure if they are waterproof but they seem nicely protective). The best feature for me is that two of them just fit (barely, but they fit) side by side on a 48 inch wide wire shelf unit leaving no wasted space making for efficient storage.

I ordered a pack of 4 with lids. It arrived with 1 tote out 4 damaged, and 2 lids out of 4 damaged. The packing was so flimsy I didn’t want to have an exchange delivered that may probably be damaged too. I opted to return. I bought replacements at a store local to me.

Don't have them shipped to you

These storage totes are great. What is not great is Home Depot's delivery. Every shipment I've tried (3 now) has cracks in some of the lids and some of the boxes themselves. I think it must be faulty packaging in the transit.

Very strong, top and bottom. Neatly stacks even ten high, with brackets on bottom for nonslip. Very nice MADE IN AMERICA, added bonus. I. Love buying American made. But there just aren't that many places to get American made.glad home depot has that option. Very pleased with this purchase.

The set was perfect for what I needed and I like the way it locks and seals. Great for outside storage rooms or attic. What I don't like is the items aren't padded inside the box, so when it is dropped by by whom ever, during shipping, one is always cracked or broken when received. I've had this happen to 3 shipments and I'm still waiting on the replacement for over a month now. Maybe a little bit of pading would help!

Great storage containers indoors and outdoors

Wonderful boxes! I have re-ordered them many times. Sometimes they arrive with corner plastic cracked, but it doesn't subtract from their effectiveness. They are short enough to fit under a bed and versatile enough to be weatherproof outside. They stack well and there are 6 latches per box so even if one cracks or gets lost (which hasn't happened, actually), it should still work well. You technically "can" fit two of them lengthwise on a 48x72x18 rack, but they will have to be at an angle so it's not ideal. Otherwise I have no complaints.

Good containers, Bad packing Damaged goods twice.

The containers were great. Many latches to keep air tight. They are 5 stars, one star removed because two containers were damaged in shipping because there is no packing material to protect them. Replacement order had one damaged that I swapped from first order. To send back you must go to FED X which is very inconvenient as I pass a Walmart on the way. Too much work for a return so another star removed.

Great product. Good size to use for different usages. Very heavy duty and sturdy. Stackable to save space and stack on top of each other. Has a seal to keep stuff safe from harsh weather and I love the 4 latches that buckle very tightly and keep the lid very tight to the body and you can put a lock on it to keep it secure. Worth the money.

Not just another tub

One would think all plastic storage tubs are created equal, but one would be wrong. This Iris storage totes are a step above. The plastic is sturdy, not flimsy. I don’t feel like these will break easily by pushing them the wrong way or too hard etc. The lids have a weatherproofing strip and set down onto the box, and then have four latches that flip up to hold the lid on. Weatherproofing, guys!! That’s huge for storage tubs. We use storage tubs for many things- from Christmas decor and items used once a year, to many household things as we move fairly often with my husbands career. The first thing I used these totes for were for my yarn stash. The size was not so huge it was unmanageable to pick up, handle, carry, etc. It’s actually a great size. Little smaller than the “basic” size tub I’m used to I suppose but the waterproof lid makes it 10x better. Especially for yarn, for example. I have many craft items and things like linens that need to be stored and often for long periods of time and these are a game changer. Another bonus to these are that they stack well and easily when empty, including the kids on top of each other on top of the stack of tubs. Really quite handy! I need to get a bunch more of these for our moving and storage needs. I’d highly recommend these.

Durable and great size

I’ve needed storage containers forever but couldn’t find any large enough, these 44 quart plastic storage containers are the perfect size. They hold tools and blankets and sheets and even holiday decorations that I didn’t want to get crushed. The lids fit perfectly and go on easily too which is always a bonus. I can stack them up and they hold shape too, the lids don’t buckle from the little bit of stuff we’ve put in them. These storage containers get a perfect 10 out of 10 from me. I’m not at all worried they’d give out or that the lids won’t go on easily.

Great Storage Solution

These storage boxes have worked out perfectly for me. First, the locking lids keep my clothes in when a box gets knocked over. Also, the lids have indentations for stacking, this keeps the boxes lined up perfectly every time. Clear containers are great because I often forget what I put inside each season. My son has way too many shirts and socks so I separate them so he can at least find some in a box when his drawers are empty. I used cardboard boxes in the past and regretted it, especially when I had a pipe leak in the basement. These storage boxes are a nice generous size and the locking lids make them a perfect storage solution, not just for clothes but toys or craft supplies.

Great Size!

I am purging old boxes of stuff in my attic and switching from deteriorating cardboard to clear plastic boxes. The IRIS 44 quart boxes are just the right size. This size works for me because bigger boxes are too bulky and heavy carrying up the ladder and through the attic opening. These also have four clips to keep the lids securely fastened which is great when I need to turn at an angle to climb the ladder. They also stack well and do not slide around.

These plastic storage boxes have a loose foam gasket for creating a watertight seal. I haven't tested how watertight they might be but expect they'd be OK for protecting from rain falling from above. I would not expect them to withstand the pressure of being submerged in water and would not trust my valuables in such conditions. These would be fine for clothing, paper products and lighter items. If you didn't have to pick them up and move them they would be fine for keeping kitchen tools dry but the're not suitable for your rock collection.
