Fresh Addition

The rug is exactly as pictured . Once out of the packaging it did lie flat. Non slip backing so you do not need a pad for use on hardwood. It is not a soft feel with bare feet but I am using it in an entryway. Most of my rugs are very traditional and I love how this adds a modern touch. Note: The rug is not exactly 6 ft round as advertised . 5’8” round is the exact measurement. It didn’t make a huge difference in my case but if you need something more precise I would check before ordering.

Beautiful, but takes a lot of time and effort to uncurl

I ordered two of these rugs in the 2' x 3' size to use as entry rugs. They are really stylish and just the look I was going for. My main complaint is the time and effort it takes for these rugs to uncurl. I've had them for a few weeks now and they still haven't fully flattened. I originally put heavy books and dumbbells on the corners, which did nothing. I ended up buying some super sticky rug tape to tape them to the floors and the corners still curl up a bit. Hopefully this will ease over time, but I wasn't expecting to put in so much effort for a dang rug. They are beautiful, so worth it I guess. The seagrass material is a bit rough on bare feet, which isn't an issue for entryway rugs, but something to keep in mind if you're planning to use this in a living area.

rug does not lay flat and it falls apart

These rugs to not lay flat. I laid weights on them for days and they still curled up. I ordered several different sizes and found that the larger 8x10 laid the flattest.

Lovely Seagrass Rug

I always use a seagrass or sisal type carpet in my dining room. Due to heavy traffic and animals I change the carpet every 5 years or so. Since they are so reasonably priced on RUGSUSA this is completely feasible. This particular one has a beige border, I normally do black but I wanted it to disappear more. I love the cloth backing as opposed to rubber which tends to dissolve over time leaving a nasty finish on the wood floors. Since it this rug is under my dining room table I do not need anything to keep it from moving. Generally I do not think natural rugs should have a thick pad under them either. The Maui Maui Seagrass has a very natural appeal. It is slightly rough to the touch but not so much as to be uncomfortable to your bare feet. I particularly love the natural grass smell which does diminish over time. Even my 16 yr. old son noticed that I had placed a new carpet down and told me how much he liked it. You can't go wrong with these carpets and RUGSUSA is very reasonably priced with fast shipping.
